6-2! Woah! That is amazing! I love to see how hyped up you were in the arena! Hey, that's Tinke! She is cool 😊 it's amazing to see you talking with a finnish youtuber ✨️
I still have the hockey stick in my closet that Teemu Selänne signed (and dated)and gave me back in 1991 after the game, at the time that arena had a private VIP bar near the locker rooms where you could see all the players after the game.. great childhood memories.
Great job mate! Keep up the goodwork in your videos 😎 I've been Jokerit fan over 30 years and it's nice to see people from abroad enjoy Jokerit hockey. Which is fast, fun and skillful hockey. And now since we started all over again and in 2. tier, its pretty fast, coast to coast 😅
I am so so happy for all the experience you live in Finland. I think will be a great moment to remembrr al your life like that moment at my Romania with Rapid. Sincerly i had a big big smile when you bad the interview. Many many congrats and thank you cause jetlag fam is travelling with your videos.
Fun goalie fact: The mask the goalie (Kolppanen) was wearing when he made that awesome pass was the other goalies (Risikko) mask ;) Another fun goalie fact: That red and yellow mask of Kolppanen has drawings from very young Jokerit fans. They did a campaign in during the season where they asked the fans to draw Jokerit logo and then Kolppanen chose two of those to be painted on his mask. So cool.
Nice one again 🤜🤛!! You both look gooood , welcome to the red&yellow family. From the guy with big beard who said before the game that we are gonna win today 😁👍
I think you should join the Jokerit fans on a trip to Kokkola tomorrow :D What I've heard there should be atleast couple of busses only for Jokerit fans tomorrow morning from Helsinki.

If you're going to Tampere. Few things to recommend. Blood sausage aka, black sausage aka, Musta Makkara. Should be available at Nokia arena. Also, Tampere is Finnish capital for hot wings. Most famous would be Siipiveikot (Wing fellas). Bonus points, Hook restaurant has the best baby ribs in Finland. Best Munkkirinkilä (sour donut) is sold at Pyynikin torni. Pyynikki is also local brewery that you might spot all over... You might swing by to Lahti to world awarded acoustics of Sibelius hall concert house and taste Finnish gin at Teerenpeli (there is one in Tampere, but the brewery/HQ is in Lahti) Cheers. Have a awesome stay at durty and damp Finland early spring :D
These are some good tips to Tampere. I will also sum up what you must try in Tampere (including some that was already mentioned above): - Mustamakkara (black sausage); - Pyynikin näkötornin munkki (a doughnut sold at a viewing tower which is also a sight worth visiting; the doughnut has been chosen the best in Finland); - Hot wings (Sticky wingers, Hook, and Speak easy are the best wings restaurants in town Siipiweikot also worth visiting) - Näsinneula restaurant (it is a revolving restaurant at 124 meters with a view over the whole city); - Wanha monttu (an old pub that has been build into the basement of a historic building, the basement initially served as a woodshed for the people living in the building as fireplaces used to heat up buildings before electricity); - Amurin Helmi (a cafe that serves breakfast and lunch; this is a real Finnish experience and not another tourist attraction); - Ullan Grilli (this is another Finnish experience, grilled food for Finns, it’s the meatballs that people go for here, You should get a 0,5L semi skimmed milk for drink to look truly Finnish); - Finnish ice hockey museum;
If you are planning to go see Ilves games, game 3 Ilves vs KalPa is unfortunately on the same day and same time as the possible game 7 between Jokerit and Hermes. But Ilves vs KalPa @ Nokia Arena (game 5) is on Friday March 29th at 6:30 PM local which could be a great opportunity to check out should I say the best quality pro hockey in Finland right now!
@jetlag Warriors Do you know Teemu Selänne. He left from Jokerit to WInnipeg and still ( and forever) will hold the NHL rookie goal record..... 76 goals on rookia season
Hello @JetLag Warriors , or "Moro!" as we tend to say here in Tampere. Nice videos so far. You really should come see Tampere. Näsinneula has great view of the city. And also houses a restaurant. And it's spinning. Much wow. Btw. How long are you gonna stay in Finland? Is it the 90 days the visa allows?
I don't know if anyone told you, but Jokerit used to play in the Liiga (the NHL of Finland, the main league), and there was a huge rivalry between HIFK and Jokerit because they were both from the capital of Finland. Jokerit joined the KHL in 2014 and they weren't allowed back in the Liiga after leaving. (Maybe some bad blood?)
Maybe this has been asked before but, just from watching what is your opinion on the bigger european icehockey rinks compared to the smaller ones in North America. watched a couple of Oilers home games live, when I lived in Canada for 8 months. Personally I prefer the larger rinks. Could also be with the difference in culture between Finnish/Swedish hockey compared to NHL. e.g. a certain player called Wilson the other night.
I don't really follow Finnish ice hockey at all but fun to see how Jokerit is doing from your videos. I've always found NHL so much more fun compared to our own leagues.
1970 Moscow Ice circus, bears playing hockey in Helsinki. Vuonna 1970 Moskovan Jääsirkus vieraili Suomessa. Huhti-toukokuun vaihteessa se oli ensin Helsingin Jäähallissa ja sitten Tampereen Jäähallissa. Molemmissa viivyttiin toista viikkoa.
I like that Jokerit has gone back to its root. Its nostalgic. I hope they get promoted to the top level once again. I miss the North (Kärpät Oulu) vs. South (Jokerit) and HIFK-Jokerit rivalries. We love to hate Jokerit and we miss them.
By the way at 14.00 you can see another Canadian at the back the new Jokerit Superfan or actually a picture of Neil Young,if didn't make a mistake. Anyway, a happy traveller this one.
There is only one team fron Helsinki and it is not Red and Blue. Allright all jokes aside. I would really love to see Helsinki Derby again, Jokerit vs Hifk.
Go and watch a Tappara playoffs game at tampere if you want to see some real icehockey😂 You are a few years too late if you want to see decent hockey in Helsinki.
You must watch Kovasikajuttu - A documentary of a disabled punk band called Pertti Kurikan Nimipäivät. They even performed in the Eurovision. They are huge Jokerit fans as well.
You should go to Tappara match in Tampere at Nokia Arena! They are the most successful team in Finnish hockey history. They also have amazing mascot and big supporter stand with loud ultras.

No, they strated from behind because of that but didn't actually dropped, like the didn't rise when they joined KHL. It was purely business of Hjallis "Vittu mikä pelle" Harkimo
Basketball is nowhere near hockey's popularity. Football is the most popular hobby among kids because it's much cheaper than hockey but as a spectator sport hockey is number 1.
Floorball will also grow and grow because it's so popular amongst kids nowadays, in a few decades it will likely become a professional sport, which would take players away from ice hockey, hockey is so expensive that many families rather play floorball.

Hopefully Jokerit gets back to the Liiga so we can once again have the Helsinki Derby atmosphere of Jokerit vs. IFK Helsinki. In the past both teams had their own arenas in Helsinki not too far from each other. Tbad with the Russia situation and ownership the big arena is not in use. In Tampere it doesn't matter which team match (Ilves or Tappara) you go to watch, it is gonna be absolute fire and flames in both battles.
I'm impressed how good you pronounce finnish words. In fact better than any other foreign youtuber I've seen/heard👍
Yeah, it's actually pretty striking to be honest.

Funnily, the Moscow Circus is still performing in Kerava and Helsinki to this day
