Nobody Knows the Trouble I've Seen〈

Never remove this video. It is too beautiful
i want to let you know that this is in my opinion the best rendition of the song.
The way in which North Asian artistes have embraced the Western repertoire is fantastic. This choir, Sumi Jo, Lang Lang, Mariko Kameo and the incomparable Yuja Wang continually amaze me.
The majesty of great folk music is that there is no single "correct" way to perform it. These very words are sung to an altogether different melody, less familiar. And to this melody, the great Marian Anderson sang "Nobody knows my sorrow" There is no one and only way.
Thanks for this great beauty. I heard it from the film "Young Man with a Horn" the first time. This version is simply beautiful. Thanks. Salutes.
Amazing! Amazing Grace! No one knows!
Hermosa canción y magnífica interpretación!! Es una caricia al corazón. Muchas gracias por compartirla. Excelente coro. El arreglo coral es admirable. Felicitaciones!!!
Such beauty.
Much beauty.
WOW
Wow, thank you for this beautieful song, I had tears in my eyes.
THANKS A LOT!
Greetings from Germany.
flawless.. no I mean literally, flawless. I can't find any flaws at all. truly amazing
Well, they just missed the essence of the lyrics: "nobody knows but Jesus"
It's quite a pity as I love this version, it's truly beautiful musically.
That was awesome!!!
Gorgeous, gorgeous interpretation and presentation!
Ruth Elaine Schram Thanks for your admiration! We all like this song very much. The touching melody really moved us, and we actually voted this song to be our favorite among lots of other pieces. We have a strong admiration for your music and it is really a great honor to perform this song.
Beautiful 💯🥰🥰

"Nobody knows but Jesus" --- -this is an African American spiritual
Just like Angles are singing to the God ~
Excelente versión!!.
Que bien empastan y regulan...........!!
EXCELLENT, I BELIEVE YOU SHOULD EDIT A RECORDING !!! THANK YOU FOR THE SONG SAMIOTISSA, SINCE I'M HALF GREEK AND AMERICAN, CONGRATS AGAIN , NIKOS KONTOS,
Woooow!!! Amazing work! :)) 👍🏼👍🏼
Amazing!!
Immaculate and beautiful. But why was 'Jesus' removed from the lyrics?
drumraine Since this was published for the school market (by BriLee Music Publishing, now owned by Carl Fischer Music), the Editor / Publisher insisted on a neutral lyric, so I used "nobody knows my sorrow" instead of "nobody knows but Jesus." It would always be my preference to use the name of Jesus, but as with all folk songs / Spirituals, there are numerous versions so this type of liberty or poetic license is very common. Thanks for your interest! ~ Ruth Elaine Schram
Ruth Elaine Schram Thank you for the explanation, Ruth. It must give you great pride to hear your work delivered perfectly like this from what we think of as an exotic, 'other', culture.
@@ruthelaineschram What was 'published for the school market'? The words aren't copyright surely? This choir has no problem with Christian music i.e Messiah items.
@@ruthelaineschram This performance gave me goosebumps. I saw it as a tribute to the original. It was deeply moving to hear these words echoed across time and cultures.
Nobody knows - But Jesus. Too bad they missed that part!
Exactly
:O excelente.
Musically so very beautiful. But removing Jesus from the lyrics killed it all. Such a pity.
…but Jesus???
Nobody knows the trouble...Ive SEEN...Nobody...knows.....BUT JESUS!!!!!!...the replacing of these words with "my sorrow"----destroys THE MEANING OF THIS BEAUTIFULLY SUNG hymn/song. Please delete this and re record it
