I think an exception on every challenge type like this, is to allow a single foxpark. Smelting is the only thing a player can't do themselves, and no ingots is too much of a roadblock for any challenge. The fox doesn't help with anything else, consider it part of the forge ingredients. Try a color theme.. only blue, only green, only pink.. That's fun too.
You can get ingots without smelting though so the run is still possible, you just need a way of farming Bushi You can even get ammo from merchants or get gunpowder without making charcoal by farming Tocotoco so you can even use guns
Yeah i dont really care what they use in their base, i just want to see them win battling exclusively with a certain pal / human. The base system was clearly made with a diverse set of Pals in mind. However, the game gives you a lot more freedom when it comes to your party composition.
I've noticed something, you aren't withdrawing your chiki when attacks like the tornadoes and lightning shocks happen. You can just withdraw the chiki to avoid it taking more damage than necessary, but this will momentarily make you a main target, but still, it'll help way more than just watching your pal get hit by a lot of moves. Also, use your glider to help dodge and get away from the bosses when they get too close.
I'm currently doing a playthrough where I can only use lamball, cattiva, chikipi, Eikthyrdeer, and Nitewing. I have dropped resources turned up to 3x so when I do successfully kill a bushi it's more worthwhile.
Hi Arrrash, i made a 220+ ingots per hour bushi farm that doesn't use any smelting/fire pals. I think it might be perfect for challenge runners like yourself! Hope this helps. GL on your runs! (it's a 10 min watch and easy to build)
i see you keep struggling with bosses constantly chasing you down and killing you with a melee attack. the thing is, the moment they decide they want to use a melee attack, they will continuously chase you down until you're in range of it. they WILL NOT stop. knowing this, if you're running around the arena and you notice the boss has been chasing you for a few seconds, that means a melee attack is coming. you can use that opportunity to wait until they get close to you and roll away once they're in range. that'll help you avoid situations like 24:27. watching the bosses' animations is key. if you see lyleen pause and do nothing in one place like at 19:17, it means she's winding up for the spine vine attack since all pals need over a second to cast it. you should keep some of these things in mind when you do future runs.
I do these challenges a bit because I'm just use to doing stuff like this in Pokemon but unlike Pokemon You kinda have to use other Pals to progress or at very least not pull all your hair out so I made the following rules for my runs. . . 1: you can use any type of pals at your base for crafting ect. The run is called 'Can you beat the bosses using X pal?' so what you have crafting or in your base shouldn't matter. . 2: Your damage for the most part should come from whatever pal you have chosen for the run and yourself but nothing else. This allows you ride pals just as long as you don't use them in combat. . 3: You can have any pals in your party that boost your chosen pals stats/damage. Of those pals the passive must be one that boosts the chosen pals type not the players. This is to prevent stacking things like Gobfin that boosts the players damage and not the chosen pals. For example if your chosen pal is a fire type you can stack Roobys (Boosts fire pals attack stat) but not Gobfin Ignus (Boosts player attack stat). Traits that boost player stats like Vanguard are fine. . 4: You are allowed mounts, you just can't use them in combat. . 5: If you are using a mixed team (Read rules 3 and 4) you can only use yourself and your chosen pal to attack the tower or world bosses. Should all your chosen pals die in combat so does the chatacter. Hit Respawn. I made these rules because its just a slog otherwise. Sure you can try to use JUST your chosen pal but lets be honest, not having the ability to have a functional base isn't something skill based and it just wastes too much time. The run is if you can beat the tower/world bosses with your chosen pal and punishing yourself with a dysfunctional base isn't part of that. Last parting piece of advise though in regards to Chikipis, don't sleep on their implosion skill. You can easily drop bosses using that skill if you build for it.
5 chikipeas with stronghold strategist and vanguard would make it easy. 4 points into weight and 45 into attack. You can dps the game before it kills you.
I don't know if it would have broke your rules, but you could have used 4 Cremis to boost neutral pal damage, so you would have a single chicken with boosted power. The problem would be is you would have to babysit it and ensure it didn't die, but it might have been possible then
I beat most of the world bosses with the first Cattiva I caught. It’s now 3 star on the way to 4 and I’m gonna teach it 3 epic moves and make it beat Jetragon. I will make all bosses kneel before my coward cat. Lil shit deserves it for keeping me alive in so many situations
@@Arrrash Astegon. He is a world boss in the volcano but you can also find him in the sanctuary in the top right of the map. You also have a chance to get any level of any schematic from opening red chests and doing the dungeons in the ice region in the top center of the map. Hope this info helps.
I'd love to see you beat the game with both depresso and chickipi and if i could suggest another run it would be to see you do a run with only melee but you could keep pals at the base to avoid the ingot problem without having to use bushi Edit: in terms of all these bosses if you still struggle with lily & lyleen, marcus & orzerk etc. Use your roll s, when i played i just dodged through the attacks

If you check out the RUclipsr OneManJam, they did an entire 4 part no pal series and actually beat all 5 towers. You could use some of their strats if you’re determined enough to beat this challenge or any future challenge. (Warning: it takes a TONNNNN of time to do lol)

I mean a legendary AR or pumpy, or rocket launcher would definitely have made a noticable difference. That and or like 500 stun grenades. Although the stun grenades and L rocket launcher/AR routes would have made this too easy.
I had something like that chillet happen. game decided I shouldn't be able to move from some spot, right as an enemy pal launched all it's attacks right at that area. I didn't die thanks to pure luck. no matte how much I tried to run or dodge, game just snapped me right back to the same spot
I say do a palworld challenge with one decent pal of your choosing that isn't a legendary because yeah obviously that legendary dragon or that legendary horse can easily beat the whole entire game. If I had to do that challenge I would probably choose the Firefox wixon or the other counterpart being the dark type cat and see how a whole challenge run with just one of those two would do
You should allow yourself to have one of the different things the pals can go like kindling and stuff because at least that way you can a tiny bit of automation but not enough to completely ruin the fun of the grind
You can kill black marketers over and over again to grind up a lot of money. There's actually a bug or if you go into the menu to buy stuff from them when your pals attacking them they won't do anything at all I would implement this into your it would make grinding for money for ammo way easier. If you crank up the drop rate as high as it can go. You can grind 500k gold an hour easy maybe more.
So much of this game's EXP scaling relies on you catching 10 of each pal so it's crazy how little XP you're getting by not catching anything other than Chikipi so I get why you started catching other pals
I think I just let it get to me because I was trying to grind out the whole game. Might break videos up a bit and stick more true to challenges going forward. Idk I’ll play with it. I do wish the game just game better combat xp tho
I couldn't care less about base pals, that's just boring grind restriction. for me the interesting part is making a pal type work against various bosses. chikipi obviously isn't the greatest choice, being weak against the final boss, so while predictable, it was entertaining. there are, however, neutral pals that might be able to beat shadowbeak, despite their weakness, could be interesting. from a storytelling point however, I think using an ice pal would make more sense. decent coverage against electric/grass first two bosses, big showdown against faleris and once that works, orserk/shadowbeak should be doable. so.. what I'm trying to say, we need a chillet run!

I am speedrunning the game with 4 gobfins and a mount that applies whatever damage the boss is weak to. I would use only vanwyrm cryst or frostallion but they are only so good when enemy element types benefit. The 40% boost to crit on vanwyrm is iffy at best.... try and headshot a legendary for 1 shot potential.... doesnt work most of the time.
I'll be honest. There are lots of RUclipsrs doing weird and difficult challenges in multitudes of games. However, they're only entertaining if the player doing the challenge knows what they're doing. People who know the game well enough to use the mechanics of the game in interesting and unique ways. Otherwise, you don't know if the challenge is difficult because of the nature of the challenge, or because the player sucks...
it hurts so much to see you playing without breeding from the beginning, you can easy beat the game if you catch chickipis like crazy, breed them, check the IV´s and go
80 hours total playtime partway through the chikipi challenge? Did you even get to enjoy the game with a normal playthrough before doing challenge runs?
what a missing opportunity to call the first Chikipi "Original Recipe"... what a catastrophe... Im doing a DaeDream only run. Turns out if you unlock the right locations you can farm for anything you need and keep your base to a minimum. Its fun so far. but yea epic fail... you should be able to catch and butcher other mons or sell them as long as you only use chikipi for everything else. Thats a better way to do this run.
While normally you can only breed two Chikipi to make Chikipi eggs, there is another way if you're willing to do some glitching. The Tower Bosses have an extremely high breeding value and when bred with nearly any other Pal, they produce Chikipi eggs. This could let you get other powerful passives like Legend and Divine Dragon on your Chikipi for the final fight. Of course this does require a glitch to do, so I'm not sure if it's something you would have wanted to do. Just thought I'd mention it at least.

You did dodge the initial attack, but the attack hit the ground and exploded and you were caught in the blast radius and you died.

Considering someone managed to kill all bosses without catching a single pal, I think it's possible to do without that.

I beat the final boss without any pals. You need to use the rocket launcher. There is a pal that drops palmetal ingots.

You could try a 1 element type only run so like say fire type only with fire type moves and you have to beat every world boss and tower boss

Craft a cooking pot, cooking pots automatically cook food(well very slowly) so you don’t need to cook food on your own or have a kindling pal.
With a flame cauldron at base it can automatically cook even faster.

It is unfortunate that you cannot breed shinies and get a shiny from it even if it is two shinies of the same species

While normally you can only breed two Chikipi to make Chikipi eggs, there is another way if you're willing to do some glitching. The Tower Bosses have an extremely high breeding value and when bred with nearly any other Pal, they produce Chikipi eggs. This could let you get other powerful passives like Legend and Divine Dragon on your Chikipi for the final fight. Of course this does require a glitch to do, so I'm not sure if it's something you would have wanted to do. Just thought I'd mention it at least.
