Dude the Monster Hunter 2 rabbit hole brought me back. I remember renting ps1 games at blockbuster to swap them out for new mons with my brother. Good stuff man.
I never owned the game when it first came out but I have fond memories of discovering Monster Rancher 1 and playing around with disc summoning a few years back. So seeing it pop up at EVO and discovering the world of competitive MR2 was really cool!
To be honest, both nidoran lines are so bad in terms of ability and base stats that the added bonus from poison 3 is often not worth running in my opinion. But it's true that I didn't even think about it ! I'll try to keep it in mind next time.
Rock 2 is essential to rock's late game, as the sandstorm rock is EASILY the best weather rock in the game. It provides 1% increased attack speed to your team every second while under sandstorm which is very very very good.

you ignoring that poison 3 angle for midgame made me go crazy, but good game man, hype to see ground back in force!
