It's sad because this amazing game is being beat by roblox and garbage mascot horrors. Gen alpha have attention spans smaller than a goldfish, playing 40 minute games where you have to actually think while playing is impossible for them.
Same, last played 9 years ago. The average player count on steamcharts hasn't changed much over the last decade. I think people compare it to League, which has grown, but if Dota isn't losing people, then it's not a dead/dying game.

Sumail and Notail were 13 when they really started playing. And yes he was still noob as pro, getting lessons from Alliance and OG all the time of old classic dota 1 matchups etc..
me at 27 still tryharding to become a pro 😂. Currently at 8k mmr but im giving up that dream soon enough. It's just hard to play nowadays especially when youre getting old. Back in my prime i used to play 8-10 hours, now i only play like 3 games due to my work sched. Hope dota doesn't die tho cuz imma still be playing but not that often.
Are you in europe? Maybe u could reach that 3 years more because most of dota org looking at top 30 immortal, so if someone get you to become player, grab it, even your mmr could decline, it doesn't matter anymore
damn kinda sad its hard but we all need to move on from the past i used to enjoyed with my friends when its peak players (2014 - 2018) now they all have their own life problems to handle sadge
I mean it still has high tournament winnings i feel like people get discouraged because there's certain things experience based in dota thay newer players like my self are struggling to become advanced and not just like intermediate

Dota creators are killing this game by constantly changing it. I rember thinking last year after bigger update that this is totally different game now. From then came bunch of changes with the last one where they added that piece of shit item, kanda(or something like that). On top of that everybody is muted and nobody can talk to anyone. At that point there is not much point of playing against real people. What it became, it definitely deservs to die. Bye dota
