@Štefan Darvaš That's absolutely correct, we are not saying that the ip13 is bad but it just doesn't make any sense to upgrade it from an XS Max since we don't get any benefits from wideband or cameras or 1K Mah more battery power.
Nice comparison. The XS max is 3 generations behind the 13pro max. And did pretty good compared to the 13pro max even though the XS max has 4 gigs to 6 gigs. But when the XS max get the 15th chip set upgrade then it should be even closer.
Did anyone else think the Xs Max’s screen looked better than the 13 Pro Max? It looked to have better colors and deeper blacks. Or is that just me?

What result would you expect when you're comparing phones two generations apart. Had there been no difference, it would have meant there is no progress, but TBH the speed difference is not so considerable given how cool 13 is expected to be.

Apple tries to keep the performance level almost the same on it's iPhones. Faster iPhones get underclocked and the slower ones get slightly overclocked at times
Thats because Apple CPUs are so damn good. If you want to note an actual difference, then try running a demanding app (a videogame or something)
I had iPhone 6 for the last 5 years and it worked perfectly fine until I upgraded to iPhone 13 pro max
After upgrading from Xs max to 12 pro max maybe in 2022 😅 to have the LiDAR, I think I’ll wait until it will not support newest version of iOS

Only a couple changes that are noticeable from my daily use
1. battery life
2. Camera
3. Weight
Is it worth it to spend all the money to buy ip 13 pro max just for better battery life ? I mean, you can buy a camera with a cheaper price, why not getting one camera and save some of the balance of your money for the next generation of iphone(maybe 14 series or 15 series).

Не стоит переплаты за несколько секунд разницы открытия приложений, между телефонами 3 года и xs макс для флагмана трёх летней давности очень хорошо себя показывает, понимаю что тест так же направлен на сжатие и открытие скрытых процессов в трее, но я не открываю по 100500 приложений за 2 минуты, да и ежу понятно что новый проц на новом тех процессе с большим количеством ОЗУ под капотом вынесет XS max. А самое прикольное что насущные приложения старина открывает так же, а где-то даже чуть быстрее.
Я с тобой согласен. Мощность процессора будет заметен когда долго в игры играть, а для повседневной жизни открыть обычные приложения разница в секундах. А так смысла нет переходить, 2-3 года менять айфон глупо, чисто ради батарейки только. У меня айфон 7 и 11 вообще разница не такая большая в использования, только большой экран и батарейка разница

Не в этом дело… дело в камере… 13 разносит XS в щепки, так как у меня XS, то только днём норм снимает, чуть темнее и жопа… плюс ширика вообще нет… а так как экран и скорострельность устраивает…

I've had my 11 Pro Max for about a year and I was sceptic about upgrading, but let me tell you. There is a difference. Not a huge difference, but there is. The Pro-Motion display is amazing. The camera is stunning.. The cinematic mode is really good and the battery is just amazing. I already had a good battery life on my 11 Pro Max but this is next level. If you can, upgrade, but if you can't afford it, you really aren't missing out on a lot of new features.
I moved from an 11 Pro to 13 Pro (non-Max model) myself and I totally agree. Definitely lots of noticeable improvements, mostly ProMotion, cameras, and battery life. And for me, those were important upgrades. The design is also so nice with the flat edges.
You upgrade too fast bro 11 pro max is still fine it has 3 cameras . Promotion is no going anywhere so you could’ve wait until iPhone 14 pro
Really not much difference. Only change are camera , steady motion, 120hz smooth screen , edge on 13 pro max. Your currently one 11 pro max still good enough unless you need for something for your consent.

I have both (XS Max now as back up) and despite both being equally capable of managing apps, the usage is night and day. Spend 5 minutes with the 13 Pro and the XS will suddenly feel slow, especially with the difference in the display's refresh rate. That's not to say that the XS Max is not capable in 2022, I know people happily still using the 8 and the X.

To upgrade for speed every couple years never makes sense with iPhone. But the camera upgrade is MASSIVE, ProMotion is quite noticeable in person, the RAM upgrade made a big difference as shown here, and the design is nicer with small bezels, flat edges, smaller notch. XS Max to 13 Pro Max is a worthy upgrade.
My 12 pro have 6 gb of ram so I’m fine

@@changolord93 I think you’re referring to ProRes, but even then, you still get ProRes on the 128gb models, it’s just 1080p30 instead of 4k30 on the 256gb and above. As for cinematic mode, it’s available on all the iPhone models with any storage size; it’s just locked at 1080p 30fps on all of them.

The 13 Pro Max is an upgrade in every way… but losing 3D Touch is a massive downgrade for me.
I love that I can hard-press to quickly access shortcuts, manage stuff in control centre, and jump straight to where I want in apps before opening them. It’s a real power user feature.
By comparison, long-press is slow enough that I might as well just open apps and navigate to where I want, which is less efficient.
It’s a massive shame a lot of people didn’t use 3D Touch enough for Apple to keep it :-(

Basically, Every new phone is a new upgrade to the old version. The question is, would you spend that amount of money for a phone if you already own a previous generation device's? Mostly the upgrade is on the camera, so if you're owning xs max, getting a camera for a cheaper price could be an option too
@@DC-vl4ue I agree incremental upgrades are inevitable. The camera, screen tech and battery life are the big upgrades on the 13 pro max, but none of those are things I feel are massively lacking in the xs max (and I take a lot of photos and videos!).
And while I agree getting a dedicated camera is the sensible option, a lot of people are now spoiled by the convenience of their phones being their best cameras. It’s a big ask to get people to lug around a bulky camera

I had my Xs Max for like 2 years, and tbh it was a great phone. But I hated that the battery didn’t even last longer, and I loved the 3D Touch feature, but unfortunately, they kinda removed it in iOS 12/13 I guess?
Then I bought the 11 Pro Max, the only difference was the camera, the battery, and the feel of the phone and weight.
Both phones are great though!

Such comparisons help in deciding whether to buy a used older model (xs here )or pay 3-4 times that and get a new / nearly new model like 13. We all know the performance will be better in the newer more powerful more expensive phone. Thats not the question. The point is how far and is it Worth?

forget performance, the rounded edges upto 11 series was eargonomically way ahead than the squared off edges of 12 & 13 series.

有時候開遊戲的速度兩台是一樣快的
以RAM來說
安卓系統的S22+ 8/256G不見得會贏XS MAX 256G 4G RAM
因為頻果的A12的第一代7奈米晶
還是有著2.49G頻率的優勢
所以代表頻果在晶片上下了很多功夫
不然XS MAX的用戶也不會還有這麼多人
The test would have been even more correct if iphone xs had the ios12 launch software. And then I'm sure there wouldn't have been much difference. Anyway iphone xs works great
