This music had been used as example in the italian youtube cultural video "Lezioni di Musica - Il Canone" of the channel "musicamonteverde". Is a really very very interesting video!
@84 LoneDreamer84 maybe, I must say that I only know this thanks to my music teacher and he didn't talk about that. But with no doubt the music suits very well with space imagery
Wow - thank you for showing the pitches! It enhances the listening experiences to anticipate the entrance of each voice. Thank you, thank you! By the way, there are some rumors about an epidemic on one of the lunar colonies. Is there any truth to the rumor? Well, i'm not at liberty to say. Last week, one of our ships was denied use of a docking station. They survived, but if there is a problem, I think we should know. Yes, I quite agree. But, as I said, I'm not at liberty to discuss this.
Daniel Bali + Capella Amsterdam , Well blow me down My words/comments suck . You just have to hear any remake(transcription) of Ligeti György: Lux Aeterna . Guaranteed , not one conductor/ choral ensemble EVER bombed .
I sometimes get a little distracted while listening to this piece but those consonants sounded like whispers that Always scared me a Little and i was concentrated again :D
I see lots of people think about the universe listening to this music. But my music teacher learned us it was about the deportation camps, during WW2 He said that it represented the moment just before the jews would be killed. The woman voices would be the first ones because they were the first to be killed. And there were lots of others symbolics, but I can't remember. Really much sad, thinking of that instead of universe. Sorry if I broke your dreams.
I got synesthesia (like György Ligeti) and can feel that music, not only hear and see. There is something like heaven and space ,and something like death and hell, that made me crouching in pain and fear !
But I don't know if representing space in music is that much more important than holocaust. I mean, war is such an horrible thing, how could he have melt it with something like the beauty of space ? I can't figure it out, for me it's just a coincidence. Maybe it's more than just about war, but then it's about all, not only space, but world, time, life, as Grizabella said
Szia Daniel! Engem is az erdekelne, hogy csinaltad ezt a videot, milyen software-rel? Azt latom, hogy a hangmagassagtol fugg a szines barok magassaga is. Mindenesetre gratulalok. Laszlo

Trippiest, most sensational thing I have seen in ages.
My God, it's full of stars...
Rock stars? Movie stars? (Don't worry - I get the reference..)
@@loge10 I think he speaks about Kubrick's 2001.
Some seriously wicked clusters there.
You mean Amazing .
Tout simplement sublime.

Great animation! thanks a lot!
wow. Ligetti really captured the mysterious nature and the immensity of the cosmos with this soundtrack
Miguel Pereira It's not made for the cosmos, but for the jews during WW2. Well, after learning that we see this way differently.

Yeah, Kubrick tends to have that effect.

This is magnificent! What year was this music composed?
1966. Answering my own questions, by actually looking at Wikipedia. :-) en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lux_Aeterna_(Ligeti)
1966
Anyone else wish for the ball from breakout to make an appearance?
