Sounds like he'll end up spending the rest of his life in prison because he has nowhere to release to. He likely has no surviving family. Plus, he's definitely institutionalized at this point. He seems to be doing well at that facility which focuses more on mental health. Just keep him there.
It’s terrifying the monsters that walk among us. Many look and act perfectly normal most of the time. But they are still monsters in the world around us and our children. Terrifying
The victim is 66 or 67 years old now, not sure of her health. She may not want to attend the hearings. I'm glad she pretended to be dead, he definitely would not have let his next victim live.
I remember hearing that story about the cheerleader, and read all about it. She survived even though he left her for dead, and I don't think he should ever get out. What a reeling story of survival.
Mandoo. This monster started his prison life at Dixon correctional. My best friend was a co there until she retired. Dixon is about 10 min down the road from me. He sounds like a real winner. I’m sure he’s institutionalized after all this time. What a waste. Thanks mandoo and Richard 💜💜👋👋
Illinois rocks who woulda thought I’m born and raised here but then married for 35 yrs with him in army. And now I’m back taking care of my 98 yr old aunt. Just saying. 😊😊
He's still dangerous to the community. He needs the confinement of prison inorder to keep society safe. The victim I'm sure still lives with the trauma he inflicted. No jobs while in prison No programmes No support from family He needs prison...
This was my first time watching an Illinois parole hearing. I must admit the hearing was very professional and explained the key facts of the crime and the reason for their decision making. The parole board was definitely on point regarding this dangerous offender.
I'm interested to know the reason why Illinois is so much more thorough & better at laying out the information of these cases in a more clear-cut manner for all to understand ? I was pleasantly surprised while watching this - thinking to myself that finally for once I am told enough detail about the crime so i can understand if he got fitting punishment. I was pleasantly surprised that they swiftly convicted him & he got a punishment that he deserved. The details of him having no healthy contact with family or friends on the outside & that he has not held a job inside the prison tells me a lot about his rehabilitation. These are important details when you're contemplating parole. The victim is lucky to be alive. She lived through a horrific experience.
Living in upper southern Illinois as I do, I remember this case from the media which was newspapers and television news reports. It was horrendous then and it is still horrendous. This man should never be paroled. I'm sure his victim agrees with me and the parole board.

He should never be released. He has no family and is a clear danger to society.
Definitely!! That's a dangerous person
Wait, is he dangerous because he has no family?
I don't see the correlation 😅 because plenty of people who have no family aren't a danger to society.
@@levianthony3944 I guess that the idea is that if he has some family they might help to supervise and hold him accountable?
@@lwscijunkiehis mom surely didn’t. SMH
With replay crew. Mandoo, thank you to you and Richard for your dedication to bringing us these parole hearings.

Yeah, it's sad and scary to understand that there are people driven to do sick stuff like this.
The victim is 66 or 67 years old now, not sure of her health. She may not want to attend the hearings. I'm glad she pretended to be dead, he definitely would not have let his next victim live.
Let's bring in new viewers!! Love ya, Mandoo!! Thanks again for impromptu GrandpaDoo!!

I liked it but if I was new I'd probably not understand.
Thank you Richard and the juror for getting this info out.
He needs to stay there forever.
I really enjoyed watching this board compared to Connecticut in Iowa! ❤

💯
Please God....never release him. He will do it again...he deserves zero rehabilitation
He can receive all the rehabilitation the prison can throw at him, but he doesn’t need to be released ever!
This man is dangerous.

His victim yes but the parole board… I’ve seen complete and total idiots that are SA be released even with their victim saying no please
There is no doubt in my mind that her playing dead did in fact save her life.

Hey Mandoo I remember seeing this is on am Episode of ID channel.. if she hadn't played dead she probably wouldn't had made it😢
😲
If Thigpen has had zero contact with his brother, why would he assume he wants him as a roomie?
Or his sister-in-law?
Fifty years ? No life ,no parole, this crime was heinous, and a prior record too
Should have definitely been life
HE NEEDS TO STAY IN FOREVER.
THANKS FOR BAD AIM. KEEP HIM IN

Doesn’t this video belong on your other channel? I love the LA videos, but this was so boring.
Who are all those people off to the right?
Possibly family members and victims of other felons up for parole.
😮

Mandoo I love you, but the kids screaming… I mean your wife should understand that you are recording. You really need to tell her that.
