I’m wondering where the high frequency hiss is coming from in the video, is this a result of your post production workflow? Normally I would assume it’s a problem with the product, but I’ve seen about 6 Other videos so far and none of them seemed to suffer this issue.
I think I discovered the culprit, the AGC is working too hard because the volume on the units was set too low… in other words the cameras auto gain control is working overtime because the noise to floor ratio is too low… the agc is cooking the signal and bringing your noise floor up right along with it. Set the mic level up and it will fix this issue. Wondering if this is what you were talking about in your review when you said it was “too noisy” for professional use.
The scenery is beautiful and it was great information showing how it works outside when you are not recording in a controlled audio location.
