Growing up in the Middle East, I’ve seen their crimes as our newspapers shared them as they were carrying out. The rest of the world people tho were clueless. Today, everyone can see for themselves.
They are proud of their barbarism its morally repugnant and it actually hinders their case.
The students/ young people of today are super impressive! Courage, integrity, intelligence, perseverance...! There's great hope for the future with them at the helm.
Norman Finklestein is a international treasure, I respect no person more than I respect him. People need to listen to him, not tomorrow but now. He dedicated his entire adult life to try to raise awareness about what israel is doing to the Palestinians. He has nothing to gain from speaking in favour of Palestine over israel, besides being called "self hating Jew", that is why people need to believe him. He doesn't like to use the Holocaust card, but he has at times felt comppeled to that. He is a son of Holocaust survivoirs, because of the lesson his parents taught him and his two siblings, he is a better judge of what is an apartheid state and what a genocide is and looks like than most other people.
Is hilarious how people say he's bought and paid for like the positions he takes are making him rich and getting him prominent positions/jobs. Its literally the opposite. They have no argument against him, so they have to smear the good professor. It's all they have. Lies, threats and character assassination.
We must be very thankful to all who put ethical values above their personal interests. ❤
Students give me so much hope for the future.
So much integrity, humanity, without it we cannot survive.

Norman Finkelstein is a gem.
The Resistance inside Gaza has to be acknowledged as the first foundation from which everything was possible. Surviving successful operations , producing their own weapons, using the correct weapons in each situation, being strategic and achieving their military goals meant everyone took attention. The escalation into genocide by an increasingly unhinged political centre, also showed the world in real time what had been the entity system since its creation in 1948 (and bèfore). Social media platforms that no longer required msm to tell the horrors within Gaza allowed control of the narrative to pass to those who were suffering and not remain in the oppressors propaganda networks. People could judge for themselves, and they chose Palestine ❤
Norman Finkelstein has beautifully summed up the situation. A confluence of forces mounting until a critical level is reached where the very existence of the Israel as a zionist entity is challenged.
These forces are indeed mounting and even adding up as new ones come in. But the the most important one is the Palestinian resistance and the people of Gaza. Their resilience, tenacity and courage are a source of inspiration. Such people cannot be defeated.

Oct 7 got the public to ask why the Palestinians would attack Israel and for the first time the public heard words like "open air consentration camp" , "mowing the lawn", shooting of peaceful protesters, etc etc etc
To add to this, many are still unaware of the Balfour declaration of 1917 and how the British empire used their military to kill protestors of the Balfour declaration.

Great opening question. Not enough focus on these broader power systems operating in the background. I think the student demonstrations show how states exercise power in a way that privileged people in a rich counties wouldn't normally experience (to get into an ivy league school you're pretty privileged)

Speaking of university: All Norman Finkelstein said is perfectly true and right.
As a footnote: don't go to university in the US. Learn another language if necessary, and go abroad. $80k per year is absurd. If scholarships don't bring it down to $30k or less per year, on average, no. Just no.
