I am 63 and still love this song. Trying to figure out what I will be like when I get old.
I'm glad this video still gets play, it's a sweet song. I directed the vid when I was a little younger...a lot younger. Descendents are awesome. They were on tour and Milo had strep while we were filming.

Ain’t that the fucking truth! Our bodies get old but as long as we keep our hearts young I think we’ll be ok! Never forget what these songs were really saying. 50 is just round 2 in life.
Best era to grow up was during descendants n some of the other epic genres. Thank you for being part of it and giving a flying fudge yalls! Love, peace, n chicken grease!
This song makes me cry. Though lonely I never changed. I'm 48 and I still skateboard, write poetry and collect great music and movies. I guess I'm proud to have kept it real all this time, but the price I paid was perpetual loneliness.
Why? Because the older I got the more I realized how the vast majority of my generation were just going through the motions of our time of youth . Most gave up anything with soul that they once claimed to love (including the awesome 90s music) and called it "growing up".....which is pure nonsense. If what they say is true then The Descendents wouldn't have made this album in 1996 when they were in their 30s.

You know what sucks? Liking punk as a 15 year old back in the days must've been rad! Like it was a whole community! Nowadays the closest you get to 15-year-old punk-rock-cliques is Green Day fanboys (not bashing Green Day, but you know what I mean)... I'm literally the only person my age who listens to this in my area xD

Thankful I was able to see them at Riot Fest in Chicago in 2011!! One of my favorite bands from my teens!! I followed a similar career path as Milo and also got my graduate degree in molecular biology and now teach at a small college. I actually cited a research paper that Milo authored when he was a researcher at DuPont 😂.
