Was never going to happen. Sean has far too much experience with hot sauce to go anywhere near his eyes with his hands while eating wings. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if Sean never touches his eyes at all any more, out of sheer force of habit

I was hoping too, it was a great show and loved that Bret did some Sean on Sean, and that statement would have killed it, still one of the best interview.
Yeah people do really underestimate it though. Sometimes, I'll put a little tobasco on my food and even though I'm eating it with a knife and fork, and my hands never come into contact with the sauce, it will still hurt my eyes a lot if I touch them.

This is the best Hot Ones episode of all time (imo, and I've seen almost all of them). Brett was a total pro, in every respect. He ate all those wings without ever losing composure. I think he even enjoyed it! His interview skills are almost on par with Sean's and he even got in some deep dives on the master. Also, I'm a sucker for anything meta. And, as an artist, I appreciate his dedication to arts education. Brett, you are a gentleman and a literal scholar. Thank you for this.

@visible to all users "Meta" can mean a lot of things. Generally it's when media refers to itself (breaks the 4th wall) or turns tropes on their head. In this case, having a fan on the show is kind of a 4th wall break, and having them interview the host is a trope reversal.

Going through a bit of depression lately, and recently decided to watch every episode, and I have to thank you Sean for making me smile and laugh even though it’s hard to right now.

Brett belongs pretty high up there on the power rankings. He barely touched his water and no milk, put a huge smear on the last wing, and didn't mention or complain about the heat level once.
And nailed the interview to Sean Evans levels, unbelievable

This was amazing. After hearing Brett's name mentioned so many times. It's absolutely fantastic hot ones invited him on. And my god what a professional demeanor. Just an all round legend!
This should be a traditional part of the show! I would love to see this at the end of each session, showing a little more behind the scenes and Sean's take on it!
This was honestly my favorite episode of Hot Ones yet. Sure, the celebs bring some great stories and all, but seeing the roles get reversed for Sean was very insightful. On top of that though, having Brett as the host was incredible, and as Sean said himself, I think he's the only one that could have done this interview, and keep it so genuine, at least.I honestly hope we see more of Mr. Baker in the future. Oh, and he had the realest plug ever too, Thank you for helping to keep fine arts alive in our school system. Things like football or basketball is great and turns into careers for the few, but there is a place for everyone in art.

So this is during COVID and I am just rewatching episodes and I really appreciate how genuine Brett is. Just that. Stay safe and healthy out there, everybody!
This has probably been my favorite episode up to this point. He did such a good job. He tried his hardest to keep those unexpected coughs in lol but even with them sneaking out, he was able to push forward, do all the wings and ask some pretty good questions. And Sean, all I gotta say is "YOU DA MAN!".

Not exactly. Before they start a member of the crew asks Sean when he pops to the other camera during the intro, which usually happens between “And you’re watching hot ones” and “it’s the show with hot questions ...” HOWEVER Brett delivers BOTH of these lines to one camera. Disappointed in you Brett.
