May 2022. Am binge-watching this incredible man. I've read Mr Marsh's first two books and am eagerly anticipating his third volume, 'And Finally', which will be published in September 2022. A wonderful, candid and humble surgeon and human being.

Loved, really loved, Mr Marsh’s first book, and will soon read his second, Admissions. My admiration is boundless, for his honesty and deep humanity and intelligence. How I wish that the surgeons with whom I once worked as a nurse had been as human, as honest as he is, and far less self-centred than they were.

Great stuff Dr Marsh! I don't think I have ever given it much thought about how a surgeon might feel after a bad surgery. That must be absolutely horrible to have had to deal with, especially as you say, they are running out of options.
There are so many people that you have extended the life of and I am sure the elation you get to hesr that they are doing well lifts your spirits. I must read Do No Harm as Admissions was fantastic.
    Well done sir.
