I don't know what country you are from but the majority of places that make wigs require a certain length of hair before it is useful, as a lot ot the length gets lost when creating the wig. If they have very long hair then putting it into ponytails, chopping them off & donating them is a good idea (btw the majority of places want clean but not recently washed hair that is tied together.) They would need information on what their chosen wig maker requires though...
My salon used to donate hair but we donate wigs or the money to to putchase wigs. Hair is really not donated any longer. People screw their hair up so much its nit useable because its so damaged. 😬

I thought he was going to cut something in between (like another line or something), didn't make sense he went to all that trouble just to get it 1-3 inches shorter. If he didn't cut in the pompadour, it would have just been a regular fade. Didn't understand what his technique was, ya know?? Wonderful transformation, he has such great hair to rock that cut. It seems like you should work more on your scissor game, the top looked very blunt and as well on the sides. Don’t rely to much on clipper over comb method! Over all, such a great cut and transformation! You got my subscription!
I sometimes cut my own hair, and at times, other's. I've used scissors, and I've done this method shown. I prefer this method being shown, because you can get a more even, flat cut on the ends of the hair, and a less uneven/looked like your hair wass slightly butched by a butcher look. 😂 This is also how I get my bangs more even, and more in line just in the middle of or below my eyebrows, where I prefer my bangs to be.

This man would have looked crazy good with a little more hair left on his head.That being said, you have good cutting skills.
I saw a guy with the exact same cut. But without the fade. Just cut short round the sides and the back. Looked really good.
