Remember when I went to carnival by myself in miami all the way from NYC I was only 17 years old and determined to go , I'm Jamaican who love soca all my friends was just into Reggae , long story short this was my jam all weekend and I had a great time , with my own rental car own room partying all by myself . If it's me alone
I think what got the Caribbean islands on the whole song sampling thing was when the court in America ruled in the 1950s-60s that The Andrews Sisters could claim the rights to the song Rum and Coca Cola even though it was written by the Trinidadian artiste Lord Invader. From then-on every song was fare game in the islands to be remade locally.
@sadpanz murder? sampling is hardly that serious... the only thing i have issues with is if credit isn't given to the original creators. besides that, i see no problem with music sampling.
what's wrong with sampling anyway? ppl do it ALL the time. and besides there are only so many melody combinations so eventually songs are gonna sound familiar. get over it..
Listening in 2020....who else think this song still poppin😩🔥
