Looks ok, I have a video how I do mine and I found driving the cars with the wheels going backwards makes it more easy to sand the tires it puts less strain on the cars I found.. take a look at it and maybe try this new unit with the cars running in reverse see how it goes?
I like it Massimo. Sure, you can just set up a piece of sandpaper on a track, but this is a notch above that. $99.00 CDN would be better. lol. Thanks for your review. Dave
Cool Video as always. This looks like a good idea for home use. I have the Overdrive RSM4 Tire truer, I got it when I was racing so wasn't just for home use.
Very nice review. I know our Carrera cars tires really need trueing and sanding etc. Interesting thing about that is on my GTYs I put on Bob Kat tires and have never had to true or sand them. Of course cleaning is still needed but there is something about those tires that I can't figure why no need to true or sand.🏁
Great video brother. Thanks for sharing. I’ve been wanting to get one for sometime now. Just didn’t wanna invest to much money into one and didn’t wanna get one that didn’t do the job. I like this it’s simple and easy. Gonna now get me one. 👍🏻👍🏻
Nice review, Massimo - I'm pretty much in the same boat as you - just scuffing tires and getting a "better" trueness is probably good enough for the home track. I may invest in a better truer later on, but something like this (or something I can rig up myself) would be sufficient. I may try Greg Gaub's DIY kit that comes with all the 3D printed parts and added hardware (except the power source) - for $100 USD.
Yeah DIY kit looks pretty cool! Never saw that before. Could be a nice alternative! Yeah I wasn’t looking for anything crazy. These have always came up on my feed so I caved in and decided to give it a go. Cheers! ✌🏼
Hi Mo, funny it is, because this is sold for 69 €`s over here and is shipped from England to Germany. In Britain it is 59 British Pounds. 99 US $ in my opinion is way too much for it over there. Plus the extra-pads are sold for 39 $. One can build this easy with a bit of wood and a few extra-parts. A sheet of sandpaper costs around a Dollar and one can cut it into 6 pieces. Honestly, the price you are paying over there is too much for it. But hey, it works and if it makes you happy, there is nothing wrong with it. Thanx for showing it. Greets over to you 🙂
Yeah I know what you mean. But that’s the life here lol. Everything is priced high. A new Scalextric car here is $90-100 depending where you buy it. A digital Carrera is surprising a little less at $85. I got the truer for a best offer of $80cdn as the seller has a best offer option. I figured for the price of a car it would be cool to try. But I hear ya, it’s not overly difficult to build one, I’ve seen a few at the club track that built their own so that’s for sure a good alternative! Cheers Bo! Hope all is well!
@@MPSlotCar I got a bunch of problems with my health. Getting old is a trap. Lots of treatments this and next month. Nearly every day another, but I am not complainning. Others are way more sick than me. I can still do things, many others can`t. So, I am grateful and try to stay humble. That is the reason, why I can`t make it to the slotcar festival this year. Those treatments and medications soak up all the money I got. Keep the good content up though. Have a good one and stay in the slot. 🙂
The problem is the motor, which isn‘t really built for such a load type. It gets weaker...Also it‘s nearly impossible to achieve a perfect concentric runout, especially by Carrera 132...i bought me te RSM4 from overdrive,a german slotcarshop ( homepage) . The possibility to true your frontwheels is also given, makes the cars more quiet and the handling increases a lot, even with carrera tyres.
Yeah I mean I did that since the beginning and it’s fine. I wanted to give this a try just to have a designated area for truing when friends are over and also something I can take to the public track/friends tracks and use if needed. But for home racing sand paper on the track is just fine
Nice video. I use the cg slots tire truer and run NSR tires in my Carrera cars no magnet only rubber for grip most of my GT3 cars use 5216 super grip tires glued and trued. They run fantastic!
Another cool toy. It seems to me anyway, that quick sliks dont need truing, and mostly cant be trued anyway due to being silicone. It works here anyway.

Oh nice tip! I’ll have to give it a go, makes total sense. Yeah I’ll try it in this unit! Cheers! ✌🏼🏁
I have this and the RSM Overdrive Tire Truer and I tend to use this one more often as it is simpler
I have to see that RSM one in action! Yeah seems like this is just a very simple and quick way to get it done
Thank you Brother. Great look at a great way to true tires without paying the heavy cost
Thanks Brother! Yeah not bad at all, other than possibly building one for a cheap cost I feel this is a good alternative route.
G'day Massiom great review, I have being looking at this tyre truer system 👏 👍 😀
Hi Rhys! Thanks brother. Yeah I feel a lot of sloters always see this truer come up at one point or anywhere haha.
Cheers! ✌🏼
Nice review, draws the picture to potential buyers.
Thanks
Love video here. As people just getting started we know about tire truing but have not done any yet. This will be interesting

Thanks Dave. Haha 99Cdn would be better. Thanks for watching

Nice! I haven’t heard one bad thing about that Overdrive Truer.
Thanks for doing this. You make it look simple :)
It’s super easy brother!

Thank you Lew! I’ve heard great things about Bob Kat tires, I’d assume they wouldn’t need truing but I could be totally wrong.
Nice review, great alternative for for home use.

They it does what it’s suppose to. I’m happy with it. Glad you found the video useful! Cheers ✌🏼
They have great service. I got mine delivered to me in 3 days from turkey to California. Absolutely awesome.

Leave the rubber on your track! it would look like realistic rubber marbles !! :)
Lmao 🤣 true!!

Honestly I don’t see the difference between this and taping some sandpaper down and holding it in place on your track

@@MPSlotCar right on. It does look way nicer than sandpaper and tape lol. Great video as always!
Sandpaper on the track with tape works well but I prefer to have this to use. Just a great add on to anyone’s track accessories etc….👍🏻👍🏻

Yeah the NSR tires I feel bite really nice on the Carrera track! The few that got handle very well too.
Cheers! ✌🏼🏁

Thanks Brad.
Naw with my experience Quick Slicks don’t need any truing. It’s more the stock tires and Urethanes that need attention.
We live remotely. We are the track when it’s complete. 😂. Not too worried about a pro career
lol 😂
for the price of 1 slot car when you already have many why not
