    I went into this page because me and my aunt got fond and fell in love with Olive oil soaps straight from Jerusalem. It is so soft and gentle to the skin. But we didn't want to wait for someone to go to the Middle east or in Jerusalem just to get this soap. Usually we wait for our friends to go to Jerusalem to have this soap for us. Luckily, though I found this awesome video in soap making tutorial. Thanks you soo much for this video we can now have it in our very own bathrooms as well.

    Ideally, metal utensils should be avoided when using lye, especially pewter and aluminium. Wood or plastic is better.

    • @karijaneify
      @karijaneify 3 года назад +1

      Oof...not wood, lye and other alkalines degrade it and will cause splintering. And a good quality stainless steel, like 18 gauge is great for soaping. But not aluminum or tin. I don’t know about pewter.

    Questions:
    a) Can I use expired olive/coconut oil to make these lovely soaps?
    b) I also have some rancid olive oils in the shelf. Can I use the rancid oils for the soap-making, and
