So cool to go fishing with your dad. Enjoy these moments while you can, my dad is pushing 90 yrs old so he doesn't come with me anymore. He's still interested in my catches and enjoys it that way.
Awesome video man, they keep getting better and better. The edits you are pulling off are just amazing, plus the fishing was looked great too. Well done!
I love your videos always so cool! The editing is solid as well as the fishing. Every time I watch these it makes me wanna fish more and more. Keep up the good work never stop posting videos because they're great.
Man, this is my first time coming across your videos and your editing is AWESOME. Can't wait to see more videos from you. Good stuff brother! Got a new another subscriber
Great vid. I'm a saltwater guy make trips up to Maine in the fall. We fish the tides on the beach 2 hours before and after high tide AM & PM. The nights are better most times. You should try targeting the tides more on your Florida trips. Tight lines!!
I love my dslr. it compliments the gopro footage pretty nicely. i usually set it up on a tripod and use the gopro on my chest mount. it also helps to be able to zoom in haha
Even though it was 4yrs ago. Lol. Dude. You did really good with your footage. It was actually more of a comedy video. But the fishing looked really cool. I liked it when you were going for the coffee pot. Lol.
love your vids. Haha 2 words tho. Fish Tacos. Haha. good luck man! Have you ever been striper fishing in the Tennessee river? Dam hopping while they're generating? good stuff... giant fish :)
Hey! I do not use a filter. I shoot in camera Raw, flat, low sharpness. Then I do my editing and color grading on Divinci Resolve 12 (it is a free software). Hope this helps! Thanks for watching!
Big Thumbs up again. Your montages in the video were excellent again. Guess you wanted to catch more fish? :-) I think the ones you and your dad got were very reasonable. Iam just back from fishing two days on netherland beach....and got none ^^ - much too windy :-) Iam looking forward to see your next post.
I'm always hoping to catch more fish! Haha but seriously I was very happy with how the trip went. I would have still had fun even if we caught nothing! I'm glad we did catch fish though haha thanks for watching Sebastian!
Should go to Panama City if you come back. There's a ramp where you could put a kayak in close to the airport and do some inshore fishing for reds/trout. Or go to deer point lake and fish freshwater half a day walk acrossed the road and fish saltwater the other half 👍
buy a pound of fresh/previously frozen head on shrimp at the grocery store. peel them, cut them in half, cover them with sea salt, then put them in the fridge. they will stay on the hook better and wont spoil in the sun. use small circle hooks on a fish finder rig with two 3-way swivels and at least a 3oz pyramid sinker. that setup will catch you pompano, whiting, and even redfish from the surf. if you see ladyfish jumping i would use a gold or silver spoon on light tackle retrieving it with strong vertical jerks (be ready for a fun fight). if surf fishing is tough I would go to the east destin jetties to fish. once you are done for the day(or taking a break) rinse your rod and reel in freshwater. best of luck!
+618 Fishing man I just got back and it was rough because there was June grass all in the water 50 yards from the shore which made surf fishing impossible
+William Brunjes I'm sorry to hear that William! June grass is my arch nemesis man I hate that stuff! Whenever My surf fishing is ruined by June grass I go over to the jetties and fish there instead. My 2nd choice would be the bay.
Yall ever shopped at Publix? Their fresh shrimp is always on sale and usually works really well when beach fishing like that! I live in Central Florida and I've never been to Destin or caught a Pompano off the beach! I'm a new Sub, keep up the awesome videos!
I love your channel bro, but why don’t you get lights or night vision cameras so you can keep fishing after dark? I have caught some of my biggest fish at night.
My big camera is the Panasonic G7 with the Rode Videomic pro. I used my iPhone 6 for the fish market shots but the fishing scenes were all shot with the GoPro Hero 3+ Black. The chest mount settings were: 1080p 60fps Medium FOV. For the shots with the GoPro clamped on my rod I used: 1080p 60fps Superview. As for the pro tune settings: white balance - CAMERA RAW, color - Flat, iso - 400, sharpness - Low. I did the editing and color grading on Divinci Resolve 12. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching!!
Mate, you wanna see big stingrays come down to New Zealand and fish the Manukau harbour .... I seen one come up in a net that would have been over 150lbs... about 5ft across and probably over a foot thick at the head.
So that's crazy! Not the video but the fact that I have a channel, I'm from Edwardsville, and I also was in Destin during that boat crash. Small world. Need to fish sometime.
hey Nick, great video. bad news about those people in the boat....any news on the missing lady? I don't think I could have fished there in case you hooked her, that would not be nice! hope she turns up safe...God willing!
Hey Chris thanks for watching! I wasn't fully aware of the situation until later in the day so I was not sure what was going on. I've looked for updated information on the missing woman and unfortunately they have not found her yet. From what I've learned it seems the boat was heading off shore around 5am the morning after St. Patrick's day.
+TheBackwoodsLife90 thanks man! I was using three Penn Spinfisher V's: the 3500, 6500, and 8500. the rods used were Shakespeare Ugly Stick Big Water Series rods: 7', 9', and 10'.
Were are u able to get those ugly stik bigwater rods the ones u used in this video its really hard to find those bigwater rods in that colar black red and yellow
hahaha i remember bumming out and having some microwaved hotdogs aswell. If you dont mind me asking do you spend your only free time fishing and editing?
Haha I love microwaving hotdogs! As for your question, yes I spend most of my free time fishing/editing lol. I also love to longboard, occasionally play airsoft, and a bunch of other things, but fishing/editing takes up a lot of my free time nowadays! Thanks for watching and commenting man!
+GONE FISHING That is very sad to hear. I apologize for not watching the whole video right.now. I saw the notification check it, watched as much as I could before I had to get off. I do plan on finishing it later though. Thank you for explaining it to me though.
I've searched for updated news on the incident and sadly I don't think they ever found the missing woman. Thanks for keeping up with the channel Peter! Sorry about the length of the video I tried shortening it as much as possible and I didn't want to break it into two separate vids
+618 Fishing No the length is not a problem. I just have to get a couple things done before I can finish it. I was not trying to offend anyone. I have videos this length too. Sometimes we just have to keep them that length. I really do enjoy the channel and that is why I wanted to comment right away.

My main fishing camera is a GoPro Hero 3+ Black. I also have a Panasonic G7 but was afraid to expose it to sand and saltwater so I used it in the condo and car haha thanks for watching!
I was using 3 different penn spinfisher combos. The 8500 on a 10' ugly stick big water series rod was what caught the redfish. I was also using the 6500 on a 9' ugly stick bws and the 3500 on a 7' bws. Thanks for watching!
I thought y’all were going to reel in the missing woman. I can’t believe there was a dead man in the water and a missing woman and everyone just kept on fishing. That’s really cold. And you threw back 2 pompano. 🤦♀️
So cool to go fishing with your dad. Enjoy these moments while you can, my dad is pushing 90 yrs old so he doesn't come with me anymore. He's still interested in my catches and enjoys it that way.

I never that about mounting my GoPro to my rod! Thanks for the idea! I'll try that in some of my videos!
makes for a pretty cool shot! if I had two GoPros i'd mount em facing opposite directions... maybe one day. thanks for watching!
+618 Fishing ya I wishing had two GoPros. I have the hero 4 but I was considering getting the Hero, but I think I'd rather get a DSLR.
What mount did you use to clamp it to the rod by the way?
I love my dslr. it compliments the gopro footage pretty nicely. i usually set it up on a tripod and use the gopro on my chest mount. it also helps to be able to zoom in haha
that mount was the 'sportsman mount' but i didnt buy the one made by GoPro (overpriced imo). i got it off amazon
Nice video! I like how you edit your videos, great work! Keep it going
The editing on this is great!
Thanks for watching and commenting man!!
Glad some people besides your subscribers appreciates and notices your talent
Even though it was 4yrs ago. Lol. Dude. You did really good with your footage. It was actually more of a comedy video. But the fishing looked really cool. I liked it when you were going for the coffee pot. Lol.

I'm going down to Destin, FL this summer to visit a friend. What tips would you recommend?

Is that in Destin
Yall ever shopped at Publix? Their fresh shrimp is always on sale and usually works really well when beach fishing like that! I live in Central Florida and I've never been to Destin or caught a Pompano off the beach! I'm a new Sub, keep up the awesome videos!
Hey man thanks for subscribing! Sorry for the late reply but yeah usually I'll get my shrimp from either publix or Winn Dixie.
I love your channel bro, but why don’t you get lights or night vision cameras so you can keep fishing after dark? I have caught some of my biggest fish at night.
What camera do you use and if GoPro what settings? That would really help me out. Love the quality of your videos. Also, awesome editing!

Thanks Inlet! I tried finding sand fleas on the beach but had no luck. I've never thought to try blue crab!
Watched the entire 15:40. Is this near or in Pensacola? Me and my family go there every year! Great editing. You make vlogs cool unique.

Thanks for answering sir keep up the good vid :)
Why did you quit at dark that's the best time to fish!
Bait?
fresh shrimp peeled, cut in half, and covered in sea salt
KENTUCKY!
how could u not keep the pompano lol
Atleast im not the only one who eats like that
why didn't you use a bigger bait
All of a sudden #caseyNeistat style vlog
Good video tho
strike
Dont even tell me I just saw dude put a legal pompano back!!! Wtf? It's not a gar, brother! IT'S the most expensive fish you can buy.
not to worry i said "see ya buddy" after every fish
No night fishing?
I did a little night fishing but had no luck! Thanks for watching!
that pompano was tiny
I thought y’all were going to reel in the missing woman. I can’t believe there was a dead man in the water and a missing woman and everyone just kept on fishing. That’s really cold. And you threw back 2 pompano. 🤦♀️
you dont need a rod tube, those rods are 2 pieces
Usually we have some somewhat ok music EXCEPT for these 2 videos
You have changed alot in the past 4 years...I say ur voice and u seem more fit back then (no offense) to where u had a more muscle type walk.
Voice can usually change by the people around ya...it didnt change alot but I can hear it seemed tad deeper
Its september 2k17 bitchässs. Who else ist watching
I don't understand catching all that fresh great fish And then going out and buy your dinner.
Why are you throwing back the fish? Do you not like to eat fish? The fish I catch I eat. I only throw back small fish.
Because some people fish for sport and not keep every fish they catch because they aren't Asian
I throw back small fish that Im not going to eat.
I know who's boat crashed
That's a disgusting hot dog
If I were you I would've kept the pompano and ate it that first day
