Of course, Dean broke that vow and Cas was pissed. They reconciled obviously. Because Cas realized Dean did that for Sam.
These two have actually won 'best couple' awards whilst competing against real t.v couples like Delena and Klaine. They even won one last year, I think, for being the most shipped otp. If this doesn't covince the writers to make them canon, I have no idea what will.

This is so amazing. The eyes are the window to the soul - Cas can see into Dean's, see how tormented it is, how guilty it is and how much he wants to heal Dean. Dean can see the curiosity in Cas' eyes, the mystery of the angel's mind and what his own soul is like. True, Dean is a bit more...reluctant....but you can see the bond between these two, and how much they really DO care for one another, Destiel feelings or not.
