    What RAM Do You Use On 7000 Series?

    • @JamesSmith-sw3nk
      @JamesSmith-sw3nk 10 месяцев назад

      I have VERY cheap electricity. I have a bunch of Ryzen 3600 rigs. How big of difference is there between ryzen 5900x and Ryzen 7900x for mining profitability?, is spending the extra $$ worth it to go all new AM5 or is 5900x close enough? I am asking because you would know for sure, Nice Hash estimation is often not close at all.

      G.Skill Trident Z5 is the best I've tried so far. 6000Mhz cl30
      It's faster than other RAM of the spec I've had set to the same speeds.

    Hey Rabid, from my understanding, any Sk hynix A die ram can be tweaked to about the same settings. I believe all the teamgroup ram is using the a die so I just order t create classic 5600CL46 kit as you can get it for under $80 and I have it running at 6000CL30. You can get it to run at 6000CL28 but have to tweak it a little more for stability. HC OC channel also has a guide on 6200CL28 but I went for stability as I do not want me ETCMC node running on the same PC to go down.
    The reason the original stick did better was 6000mhz is the sweet spot for ryzen infinity fabric. The next sweet spot is 8000mhz but you sacrifice some latency so I am not sure if it would be better for zeph but would be good to test.
    Take a look at an absolute latency calculator. Both 5600CL28 and 6000CL30 have a latency of 10 nanoseconds. But since 6000 is the sweet spot I think that is why it is doing better, or better sub-timings. 8000CL36 would be 9 nano seconds, so that would be good to test.

    • @KrumpetKruncher
      @KrumpetKruncher 10 месяцев назад +1

      6000 and 8000, is that because they match up with the new ininity fabric like 3600 on am4?

    Have a lot of these gigabyte MBs.... I use the Flare X with Expo enabled 6000mhz, and highband with transfer enable Tuned via PBO... 105w limit, Curve optimizer negative all core... and that intensity number normally land between 10-30... but that's about the hash and watt 17/157 my 7900x run...the 7900 tend to do about 10 less watts for the same hash. 7950X about the same 157 wats for about 21-22kH. BIOS has some updates to protect the CPU, memory... speeds really didn't seem to change.

    @RabidMining please test more with 7950x, overkil(cl28)l/mid(cl32-34)/bad(cl40) ramkits and their respective hashrates. ive been wanting to get myself a 7950x rig and trying to get cheapest ram/mobo as i can, i mean if the difference is only less than 1kh then why not a cheaper setup.

  • @blackcoffee3323
    @blackcoffee3323 10 месяцев назад +4

    Best option is to have memclock =x3 infinity , for 7900 it is 6000=2000, then for memory it not fully about speed or tiimngs it is all about the latences which i belive you perfectly knew
