This is THE most useful tutorial I have found on RUclips!!! Thank you ever so much 🙏🏼 I have made learning Tunisian and Mosaic crochet my lockdown mission and have become totally obsessed. I couldn’t face another granny square like I learned 45 years ago - crochet and yarn have changed so much and become very sexy 🤩😎😄

Fantastic! I have sweater, mittens, socks and hat patterns for tunisian. I’m excited. Knowledge never grows old 😊❤.

Thank you! Just what I needed. No breaking of yarn, no tails to weave in, and a smart finish to the new stitches, which also look stronger and less flimsy than the 'make a separate chain and graft it on' method. I shall use this whenever I need additional stitches in Tunisian crochet.

TYSM for displaying in detail how to increase in Tunisian crochet at each end on the some row. I was wondering how it was done. I'm new to this type of crocheting so I'm wanting to learn all details about it. I have so many different questions pertaining to why certain stitches are made the way they are in Tunisian Crochet.

I usually use a knitted or cable caston for adding stitches to the end of a row but I like this method much better. Thanks for the tip.

Thank you for this. This is the best video tutorial on Tunisian crochet on the edge I've seen. Would you know how to decrease on the edge as well?

The increase for the left edge is also used as one of the cast ons for knitting. It makes a cast on edge which is sturdier than the backwards loop cast on. The cast on called the crocheted cast on is also used for provisional cast on which may also come in handy sometimes for crocheters when you want to go the other direction and you don't want there to be a seam. This cast on is then removable though I don't know if with tunisian that it would be necessary.
Actually I like what the Russian knitters think as knitting and crocheting is as one craft as in the long run, it is a benefit for knitters to know a bit of crochet and for crocheters to know a bit about knitting.
Tunisian should be a good in between so that people expand their knowledge. I love Tunisian but also do regular crochet as well as knitting. Tunisian, being thicker, makes wonderful rugs.
I love your videos, you are very good at demonstrating technique, not too fast for novices and not boring for the more experienced crocheter.
    Thanks.

Hello Kim. I’m very new and was just wondering if this extension technique works for all types of tunisian patterns?

Hi. Love tunisian crochet look. However when I do. The middle is always thinner then front and last of row. What am I doing wrong?

How do I increase just one stitch at the end (left side)? I have no problem decreasing in the beginning of the row (right side,) but I want to make a left leaning diamond. I have tried going in between the two end loops and then go into the last loop on the hook, and then into LONG beginning chain (I want to make a DIAMOND shape 'Intrelac' (Spelling??). Another problem I've run into is when I go into the stitch on the chain mine always looks like it is turning down instead of going up on that side? I sure hope I've made myself clear & you understand what I need to know & do. Thank you. Do you have a tutorial for increase by 1 stitch on the left side of the diamond? I've made a couple practice pieces 12 stitches by 8 rows I have a nice looking diamond exceptfor the left side. That looks like a bunch if awkward stitches, just a MESS. Thank you. Love your tuts.

se non fai vedere come si inizia il lavoro tutto il video è perfettamente inutile

      "
if you do not show how the work starts, the whole video is completely useless" The point of this video is to show how to increase stitches. It is very useful for anyone who wants to increase stitches. If you want to know more about Tunisian crochet, click on my channel and see the well over four hours of free online videos I've made available on RUclips for Tunisian crochet. I have them split up by stitches to make them shorter and more to the point when you need specific information, like this one.
