"Pitbull" Spithill turned into a puppy. To have the backing of Oracle data empire on board electronics then balls up the start like that is a joke. Their systems were 3rd rate. I would say Coutts was gone from the team at this stage.
Spithill completely bungled the start--it was obvious they were way to close to the start line way too soon. Not sure what they were doing. NZ didn't have a great start either--but better than U.S.
You are full of crap, and a total joke. I was there and I know for a fact that over 100,000 people visited - through numbers reported of passport entries at the airport, number of hotel rooms rented, and number of boats docked... There was over 20,000 people on the water each day....
The more I watch this the more amazed I am at how slack USA were. Under no pressure. As soon as they entered the course their flight control was poor and the time on distance to the start through the whole final was pathetic. It looked like Oracle software had pulled the plug?
First time I've seen these things "sail". They're impressive, technology has sure brought us a long way. And time has eliminated Dennis effing Connor. I've seen people bitch about them and to bring back mono hulls. To turn i say i hope your carburetor runs better than fuel injection. But they sure are quick.
I can’t speak for everybody here in the US, but I would certainly hope not, that would just be sour grapes. The majority of AC-watching Americans I know respect ETNZ a lot (whether they support them or not)- after all, they’re awesome!
As 2022 came to a close, the Ministry of Transport's road toll count reached a provisional figure of 378 people killed on New Zealand roads during the year. The 2021 and 2020 final road tolls both reached 318 road fatalities in each year - meaning this year's toll surged 60 people higher
Nice, only problem. They couldn't put up the challenger races in order. To save their souls. Just pitifull. I un-subscibed in protest. I and a lot of people can't afford, or get to Bermuda. Sooo awesome..TYVM for bringing this to us.
Great racing format!
How can the commentator say that there’s not much between the two boats? That was a dominant display by the kiwis.
He was speaking to the speed of the boats. The win was due to the skill and performance of the crew not the boat. Kiwi crew gets the credit.
I'm a American but I live in nz so I guess I'm cheering for both teams lol

Nothing wrong with that !

Legs versus arms is no competition. Legs every time
Stupid choice by the americans
@@jorge8596 You mean smart NZ. America wasn't the only one in like 8 years or something
Not sure about you mate but I’d rather a hand job than a foot job
Love these boats but love the traditional ones too
Legs have higher power endurance, the Kiwis are playing physics to their side.
First tack upwind was a touch and go. That showed immediately how slow they were compared to NZ.
New Zealand has the best sailors in the world, period...
But Americans invented freedom, ill take that any day of the week
You little beauties!!
This is one American watching the AC. Good show NZ, you earned it. Smart move and legs stronger than arms.
Epic 👍
Does the helicopter influence the wind/breeze flying so close to the boats?
They use drones. You can actually see them in shot sometimes. They have several of them whizzing around filming.

why are they cranking up?
The cranking pumps the oil through the hydrolics which is used to move everything on the boat.
Did I hear that commentator say the 2 boat length penalty bought about this loss.. the jerk
Why do they pedal?
I can't understand why they bear away a little prior to tacking. The boat speed increase is negligible compared to the loss to windward.
i bet it's for momentum to keep the foils working...
bring back real sailing!!!
Real sailing is using the wind, this uses the wind
