Not gonna lie, I was skeptical about how tough the questions were going to be from Fallout. But Fallout, if you see this, thank you for not holding back and asking all the questions the community wanted answered. I appreciate everything you are doing for the Apex community and filling that gap between fan and pro.
Appreciate that brother - it’s nice being able to be less censored and more authentic in these settings vs ALGS where we’re meant to be on brand for EA.
this pod is such a phenomenal idea to expand our understanding of and connection to the apex pro scene. so excited to see where else it takes us and what else we get to see
This is so great. We need the community to come together and share this on all platforms! I can't stress this enough, because this podcast and conversations will help the scene get better, and will help the game get better. Great host, great questions, neutral and straight forward 10/10
Really great hearing about the relationship between him and his mom. My dad passed away last September and that came just a few months after my mom’s best friend passed away. And as much as it hurts me losing my dad it is just so hard seeing my mom going through it.
The only thing that i can't quite wrap my head around was Dark Zero's decision to reach out to Rambeau in general, whether it was to fill in temporarily or to do a trial or to immediately get signed, i don't see why they would approach him at all given the fact that he made his reasons for stepping back from comp clear, like what was the thought process "oh we need a fill in, Rambeau is having family troubles and stepped back from comp because of that but he's really fucking good so lets just try asking him anyway"? It'd be a different story if Rambeau announced that because of the effect Realm had, he is open to playing comp in the future and THEN the irrefusable offer came in, he talks with his Mum and the time line gets sped up due to the scale of the offer. THAT would make sense. I just don't get how DZ just randomly decided to ask a recently retired player to fill in when the player himself had made no statements about playing comp again, not even a casual "damn realm might just make me want to play comp again" sarcastic tweet. Unless i know how DZ came up with the idea to ask him, i just can't believe that there isn't a part of the story missing. That said, everything else checks out, i get shying away from confrontation, and i get not wanting to refuse the offer, its just that part in the middle about how the offer came about that's not adding up. I do not think he was scheming as tbh even that doesn't add up knowing what we know now from this interview, but something's definitely missing, i know where its supposed to fit, i can see the hole but i dunno what's supposed to be there
Edit: Saw a couple tweets from PVP and i might've gotten my answer. Its possible that PVP and rambeau (being friends) were just talking, maybe playing realm or sumthin idk, and the topic of sharky leaving came up organically through that. Seems extremely likely, and that would check out tbh so this is case closed for me :p
Gg’s. Props to Beau for being honest and raw. Really felt the accountability he took. People can’t act like they haven’t been in a similar situation in some way. Sometimes it’s easier to not confront the problem; and it’s not easy to admit you were just being a pussy about a situation. Instead of making excuses he owned up to that.
Met Rambeau at Raleigh LAN. One of the nicest people there. I can totally understand his POV, it’s just a shitty situation. Wish him the best of luck on DZ
I was one of the biggest critics of Rambeau for the decision and the timing. But I really respect him coming on and admitting it was a shitty thing to do. I can relate to the not being a confrontational person and not wanting to make anyone feel some type of way about you. Much more respect for Rambeau after this and I wish all the best to him on DarkZero, hope he retires with at least one LAN in the bag. Lots of love to his family too❤️

Fun fact...Zero and Sharkey actually played under the EXO Clan banner together dating back to 2020...their history goes way back like Falloutt said
