There is two theories I have heard. One is to equalize the cross weights the other is to equalize the front weights.
The idea … as I understand it … with equalizing the left/right on the fronts is that under hard braking, the load is more balanced on the front so it stops straighter. I don’t know how much I buy this, especially being that there will always be a driver on (usually) the left … that said, in a front engine car, there will always be a lot more weight on the front than in a mid engine car.
The theory (once again, as I understand it) with equalizing the cross is the same idea as putting a match book under the leg of a wonky table … until the opposite corner totals are equal, the care is rocking on a line connecting to two heavy opposite corners. … once again, it will end up heavy on the drivers side no matter how you slice it.
Just always think of it as “corner weights” not “corner mass” … you can’t use the weight jacks to change where the mass of the car is, only the relative amount each tire presses on the earth.
Last note, the heavy end is the one that will usually make the most difference. Trying to adjust the light end will generally (not always) require more effect on the ride height to make the same difference.

You can energize Magride shocks to accurate info on ride height. With a DSC Sport controller, you’d zero your ride height with driver at race weight for proper setting.

Great video AJ! I'm curious how you check to make sure all of the scales are planar/level? Lots of ways to do it, but you always seem to have cool tricks for stuff like that.

I’m lucky that my garage floor is close enough to perfectly level I don’t worry about it. If not you’d have to level them by shimming the scales up or building leveling pads.

No idea. Got them used so I’d have to see if there are any markings on them or if I can find the center caps.
