It's definitely one of my favorite series this year. That first episode really made me watch the rest because of their chemistry.

The acting in this series is phenomenal! No special effects and it felt so so so real, like you are living each moment! Every actor was amazing! Every character was captured and portrayed realistically in every scene.

Leo is such a brilliant actor. There was a scene where he called Emma at the telephone booth, but she was just gone out . He desperately needed her comfort. He was lost in so much pain. Burst out of crying, it was so powerful! I can relate to his pain. Well done Leo!

Give us all the interviews! They’re adorable and had amazing chemistry. Really important to see brown woman in a role like this. Wish they had more scenes together towards end though😢
Yeah as an African American woman I was watching and kept thinking how refreshing it was to see a brown woman lead & be respected and portrayed beautifully as you all are! I hope to see more representation! :)

I can tell the casting team put them together cause their personalities are so different. They're both charming but Leo is very quiet and calm while Ambika is witty and charismatic. I really like it
I just finished binge watching the show. I did not expect that ending.
There is a realness and rawness that the characters portray very well. I love how realistic it is.

I love that people say that Ambika talks over Leo in interviews and he doesn't have a chance to express himself however, she gave a short answer, and Leo asked if she wanted to expand on it. I think their flow works, and he is naturally quieter, and Ambika helps fill in the gaps. Love them both.
I agree. Even in other interviews (without Ambika), Leo seems shy and timid compared to Ambika. I think it's also because of Ambika's background being a stand-up comedian. She expresses herself really well.

I watched yesterday all the episodes. It's the best series that Netflix made for years. It's so beautiful and very touching and made me cried a lot. I love how Leo & Ambika act in these serie and it's feels so real and rawr...
I think the miniseries of Netflix are really good. Maid, The Queen's Gambit and One day are amazing. They're all miniseries

I never read the book or watched the film so I went in blind. I thought this would be a rom com, but turns out it's actually a romantic drama. I was not prepared for the emotional rollercoaster. Binged the whole thing in two days and bawled my eyes out. Fantastic series! Just wish I knew I was going to be crying.

I could not stop watching. I love how everything played out, I just needed more. More of the visit with the parents, more of what happened (no spoilers) towards the end. More of their "Encounters". But great all in all.
I Agree, this was in my opinion a phenomenal series, I cried like a baby, I fully agree, would have been nice to see more of their lives together although we know it just focuses on that same day each year and the oh so little snippets throughout the years.
Can't get enough of their chemistry. This series is a sure favourite!

I read the book years ago, and it broke my heart. I cannot get the series out of my head. The chemistry between the two of them is why. Here's hoping we see more of both of the actors in the future. Very talented. The emotion is undeniable.

They filmed it for so long and I watched it in 2 days 😍. But I appreciate all the work. Wonderful series. It opened up my emotions which were locked deep inside. I cried, laughed, was intriged, inspired by Emma's self confidence and touched by Dexter's vulnerability.
I am moved and I loooove this series. It's just beautiful❤. Very good actors and beautiful chemistry. I am 90's kid so the music was a wonderful addition to everything.

I just binge watched the show and I cried so much at the end. It was crazy and let me just say this that Leo Woodall is a fantastic actor. There was this scene where he calls Emma but she's gone out and Dex was in great need of comfort. He played it so well and it's definitely one of my favourite series this year
First off, This was way better than the movie… their fantastic acting made his pain and grief so overwhelming 🥲 I cried the entire final episode.

I really didn’t like the movie, therefore didn’t have any desire to read the book. But series! On my way to buy the book. God, thank you for giving me the opportunity to watch series. That was the best decision to make. Great, great series. Opened characters for me, now i understood them and lived with them through their life. Thanks to all team that made series! Really! I’m in love, crying my eyes out, but in love! ❤
I read the book when I was younger and loved and I hated the movie. Dexter is supposed to be like Emma described him in Episode 7, obnoxious but also charming and disarming. In the movie I thought Dexter was just obnoxious and totally unlikeable. Ann Hathaway didn’t have much chemistry with the actor either I felt. I was hesitant to watch the series because the movie was such a disappointment. Well done Netflix, finally they did the book justice. Leo and Ambika were perfect. I wish Ambika had played Emma with a bit more levity at times, but still 10/10
