    Hello! I followed your instructions carefully and wow! My hair is about 40 percent grey and my normal colour is dark brown/black. I mixed nn@6 with na@2 and it covered 98% of the grey and made the hair shiny and manageable. I'm thrilled and will try other mixes in the future to have fun with playing with grey coverage. I think I'm going to try copper highlights with elumen next time! No burning. I recommend your product highly! Thanks from Canada 🇨🇦

    I have been using Elumen for many year now. I have 35% grey and dark brown natural hair. I used NA@2 and NB@4 combined for many years and had grey coverage, but the grey were lighter than my natural brown hair. I recently used the NN@6, twice, and it did not cover my grays the way that the fashion shades have. I have now transitioned to BR@6 which gives my grays a true red color (not burgundy or pink) and the result is like I have red highlights in brown hair. I plan on combining BR@6 with NN@6 to see if it tones the red down a bit, but the BR@6 is the one that covers my greys, not the NN@6. My hope is that you release more grey coverage colors, but with the staying power of the fashion colors I mentioned. Thank you!

    • @GoldwellEducationPlus
      @GoldwellEducationPlus  6 месяцев назад

      Hello! Thank you for the question. Topchic Zero and Elumen are 2 different technologies. Topchic Zero is an oxidative permanent hair color, and Elumen is a non-oxidative long lasting hair color. This means that Elumen is a one-component hair color and does not need the developer lotion for mixing.

    Hello I have used elumen in the past but have struggled with grey coverage. I am excited to know that Goldwell has developed two new colours for grey hair. I have been using Elumen to avoid PPD and TDS and related chemicals and have found Elumen to be the safest for me. My question is are the 2 new colours NN@6 AND NN @8 the same chemical makeup as the previous colours ie no PPD or TDS therefore NN@6 and NN@8 are just direct azo dye? Many thanks ☺

      The Elumen chemical formula has not changed at ALL! It’s the same as the rest 32 shades (34 with the 2 new NN shades) of Elumen. No PPDs, no TDSs - just the Unique HDmax Technology. Note that the NN@6 & NN@8 can be mixed with any fashion shade in the assortment (e.g. KB@7 etc.). Enjoy the new shades and expect more exciting news to come….

    Hi,
    Would this process work for someone with 100% white hair? I have been using a combination of Elumen colors to cover my for the past 8 years--not sure what colors my hairdresser uses on my hair. To be honest the final color it is always purple on the roots and really dark on the rest of the hair.
    I have PPD allergies and Elumen has been a great option for me but I would like to be able to use only NN@6 if possible. Have two inches grown now with this pandemic going on!

    • @GoldwellEducationPlus

      You will have to remove the dark color in order to have a great blend. The other solution would be to wait until the biggest amount of color is faded out and then start using the color. Slowly it will blend after a couple applications. Hope this helps!

    Are there different ingredients in the NN@6 compared to the other Elumen colors - want to make sure there are not nasty ingredients that were added to cover gray

    • @GoldwellEducationPlus
      @GoldwellEducationPlus  4 года назад +1

      NN@6 and NN@8 are two new grey coverage shades that allow to achieve up to 100% grey coverage. This is possible due to the highly concentrated special blend of Elumen dyes, with no other harsh ingredients added. When mixing NN@6 and NN@8 with Elumen fashion shades, the formula is being diluted, which can lead to a reduction of grey coverage.

    Color looks beautiful, but so red! I think BM@6 and NA@8 are actually more "natural" tones. Unless it's just the studio lighting making it look this way.

    • @GoldwellEducationPlus
      @GoldwellEducationPlus  4 года назад +2

      Hello! The final result of the color is Natural with a mixture of Cool & Warm tones. The Elumen gel during the application does look a bit red because of the studio light, but, as it processes, the cream changes color. Also keep in mind that NN@6 and NN@8 were made to cover grey hair up to 100% with a natural tone. BM@6 (not in our current assortment) and NA@8 are not grey coverage focused shades.

    nn@6 i am assuming is sitting in the orange range of the goldwell color wheel, i am not surprised to see it looking warm in the video, i would have to try to control that pigment a bit with a cooler ellumen color choice not to much because i think coverage of grey would be a problem so i would agree with the comments below suggesting using a darker level as well.

    • @GoldwellEducationPlus
      @GoldwellEducationPlus  3 года назад +1

      The NN Series colors are meant to be in the Neutral direction (forgive maybe the light of the studio if it's misleading). Adding a small amount of a cooler color like NA@8 would be good idea, just make sure to not use too much.

    I noticed you added NN@6 to her roots and @NN8 to remaining.. only a few grey's, but haven't used Elumen in years. Does the @8 just deposit color on her natural level? I used to have a licence (on disability) but want to go with an Auburn on my 5.5/6 brown. The straight @RR gave me geourgous stop sign red for years. Only used that and black (I must have used remove as I have no pics of grown out...but mem. Probs)

    • @GoldwellEducationPlus
      @GoldwellEducationPlus  2 года назад

      Hello! Thanks for your question. The NN is for Elumen grey coverage and can be used from roots to ends. It would cover any grey while depositing color at the level you use (in this case, 8 on mid-lengths and ends). If you have no grey on your mid-length and ends, it will still deposit to a level 8. Hope this info helps, but if you still have more questions please let us know or feel free to contact your local Goldwell sales representative.

For now, there are no plans to launch more shades as these can work in a variety of levels (e.g. NN@6 works for levels -5, -6, -7 and NN@8 for levels -6, -7, -8). Your idea of mixing NA@2 is correct but please be careful not to add to much as the shade may turn out too dark. Keep in mind, by adding another shade with the -NN shades, you're diluting the ability of coverage as well. We hope this helps!

On the other hand while using ELUMEN, you get 20% longer durability compared to oxidative color, 76% more intensity and 37% more shine compared to a semi-permanet color thanks to the HDmax and Shine&Care technology. The decision is yours based on your budget, as both products have a different price range. The best would be to get advice from your stylist for more details.

I don't want to go back to the salon yet, but I cannot be seen with my hair the way it is, is there a way I can order it and apply it myself just to get me by until it's safe to return to the salon?

      Hello! Thank you for your comment. No, there are no new or different rules for Elumen NN shades. We recommend that you use Elumen Lock, especially when working with intense Elumen shades and on darker levels. In this video, the focus was more on the new shades and the result, therefore the finishing of the color service was not shown.

      Thank you! The two new shades NN@8 and NN@6 provide up to 100% grey coverage. Using these on 100% grey will achieve a natural grey coverage result which will look a little bit lighter depending on the existing grey shade.
      PRO TIP: When mixing NN@8 / NN@6 with other Elumen shades, you can achieve a grey coverage with a fashion shade direction. Remember that the grey coverage ability is reduced when mixed with fashion shades.

      In principle, the Elumen NN series cover grey/white hair up to 100% when you use PREPARE in the beginning and LOCK at the end. It may be due to the type of hair if you are not experiencing full coverage. Have you tried to use heat and enhance penetration?

    I have 50% grey hair. This did not work for me at all at first, the color faded too fast
    I now follow this process- wash my hair with shampoo and leave to dry
    Next apply NN@6 and leave on for 2 hours, this is crucial , 30 mins does not work on my resistant greys.
    I also can’t mix in any other shades, it reduces the efficacy
    After 2 hrs, I rinse my hair, towel dry and then apply Elumen Lock for five minutes.
    This gives me excellent grey coverage that lasts

    Does elumen cause allergic reaction ? And what ingredient can do this? Thank you

    • @GoldwellEducationPlus
      @GoldwellEducationPlus  6 месяцев назад

      Hello, thank you for your question. Only low allergy potential direct dyes are used in the Elumen color formula. Using Elumen significantly reduces the risk of developing an allergy to hair dyes. As we all know, allergies can occur for many ingredients, therefore a patch test is still recommended.

      Great questions LOCK is necessary to assure all the claims of Elumen:
      1) Long lasting result
      2) exceptional durability
      3) 20% longer durability compared to oxidative colors* (*tested vs oxidative hair color w/o @Pure Pigments)
      4) 76% more color intensity compared to oxidative hair colors.** (**tested vs oxidative hair color w/o @Pure Pigments)
      5) 37% more shine compared to a demi-permanent hair color

      Hello! We recommend that you check out the new Elumen NN@7 for better coverage. Additionally, here's a tip for extra resistant hair: add Elumen Thickener to your Elumen color mass (not more than 10%); this will enable you to saturate the hair more with the Elumen color, as it stays even better on the hair.

      Hello! It depends on the amount of greys: if there's less than 60% of greys, you can mix 1:1 Elumen NN shade according to the desired level and a fashion shade from the Warms color family e.g., NG@6 or BG@6. When having a larger percentage of greys, a mixing of 35ml NN shade with 15ml fashion shade is recommended.

      Hello! Glad to hear that you have tested the ELUMEN products through a patch test. As a person with allergic reactions, we strongly recommend that you should have a dermatologist test to be on the safe side. Using NN@8 is a light shade with exceptional grey coverage that reaches up to 100%! For the mixing with RR@all, please make sure that the amount is low or you will lose your coverage ability. The recommended amount in this case for RR@all could be about 5-10ml in your mixture of NN@8.
