I usually don't comment this much on one video but I have to say this. If you don't respect others, cant expect them to respect yours either. This is what I mean, Christians do this all the time (and you don't have to explain to me, I grew up in a Christian household and I know). You can't force anyone to believe what you believe and no one can do that to you. Just spread your knowledge and people will either accept it and believe it or they won't.

You know how frustrating it is when you try to tell someone with a certain religious faith that something makes you feel empowered and positive, and they counter it with “yeah but it’s good feelings from the devil so it’s false, it’s not real light” … the amount of fear I felt in my life believing in Christianity was insane. When I get back to my roots and just listen to my heart and soul, I experience a connection to the God I feel, not the God I was told to believe in. You know what helps me do that? Music like this. You personifying god tells me that maybe your understanding of god was fed to you by other humans and not through direct experience. I’ve actually given a lot of thought to the comment I made, I watched a separate video of two Christian’s talking about her lyrics in some of her songs. It exposed some things and made some sense to me. Like I said, you could be right about what you were saying. Couple of things though. The tone of your response seemed a bit judgmental. Which is exactly why I feel pushed from Christianity so consistently. Christianity’s original intent I’m sure was pure, but as time went on it’s gotten twisted just like everything else and now Christian believers seam to speak from a place of superiority, and judgement oozes from them. I’m not a follower of anything currently because I’m still trying to figure it all out inside myself, I’ve dabbled with some things but I’m not Buddhist, I’m not new age, I’m not Christian or Mormon or atheist or a satanist or anything. I've read through so many comments, and replies. I've seen those who agree and disagree. The most shocking, discouraging, and disheartening thing to witness was the replies of Carol. I'm a Christian myself and to read through all of the backlash and hate that Carol spread to those who didn't agree with her was hurtful. I believe there is knowledge that can be gained from simply listening to those with different beliefs. Listening doesn't mean supporting but respect is due to everyone and their views. Good. Someone is saying it. I heard her song, Jericho and that junk was the most hypnotic song I had heard in an extremely long time. I usually don't comment this much on one video but I have to say this. If you don't respect others, cant expect them to respect yours either. This is what I mean, Christians do this all the time (and you don't have to explain to me, I grew up in a Christian household and I know). But I do believe their are lukewarm Christians who considers Christianity to be their religion. I don't claim it as mine. I don't go to church every Sunday because their isn't a verse that says I need to. But I understand church is actually the bride of Christ which is when two or more are gathered in the name of Jesus. That's church. It used to be temples they'd go to worship. But after jesus fulfilled that law its understanding that our bodies are our temples. So theres no need to go to temples every Saturday now. If I accept the holy spirit and train in righteousness by following God's instructions that's keeping my temple holy. Some Christians believe that perhaps I'm not a true Christian because I don't regularly attend a "church the building" but my faith in Jesus isn't validated by my attendance at a church its validated by my faith in him something I found many people in the church-the-building struggle with having.
Now that we have that disclaimer out the way, I wanted to talk about some of the things you said. When we become a Christian we are often taught a verse "all fall short of the glory of God." Meaning no matter who you are, Christian or no Christian, we are all sinners and imperfect. So unfortunately a nonbeliever may witness a Christian making bad choices influenced by their lack of understanding. The white people that stole slaves from Africa were some of those people. They struggled with understanding that just because God shows more approval with "light" than he would with "darkness" they underestimate the Verse "do not judge by mere appearances, but judge with righteous judgement." The reason why we do have a right to call out the falsehood of other religions is because their could only be one truth. Truth doesn't contradict and truth is irrefutable. We have a right to warn the dangers of what any religion can bring just like people have a right to talk about their opinions on the Christian faith. Even though moat complaints are from a lack of understanding or from hypocritical people who have too much pride to admit their faults.

You know how frustrating it is when you try to tell someone with a certain religious faith that something makes you feel empowered and positive, and they counter it with “yeah but it’s good feelings from the devil so it’s false, it’s not real light” … the amount of fear I felt in my life believing in Christianity was insane. I was afraid of everything when I was learning about Christian faith and all it entails. When I get back to my roots and just listen to my heart and soul, I experience a connection to the God I feel, not the God I was told to believe in. You know what helps me do that? Music like this. You personifying god tells me that maybe your understanding of god was fed to you by other humans and not through direct experience. I’ve actually given a lot of thought to the comment I made, I watched a separate video of two Christian’s talking about her lyrics in some of her songs. It exposed some things and made some sense to me. Like I said, you could be right about what you were saying.

I'm a Christian myself and to read through all of the backlash and hate that Carol spread to those who didn't agree with her was hurtful. I believe there is knowledge that can be gained from simply listening to those with different beliefs. Listening doesn't mean supporting but respect is due to everyone and their views.

Good. Someone is saying it. I heard her song, Jericho and that junk was the most hypnotic song I had heard in an extremely long time. I was so excited about it, saying “omgosh she sounds like Micheal Jackson aaahhh.” I played it non-stop. Like it was getting a little eerie. And I knew the song was extremely blasphemous. The song is too catchy. But then I went and listened to the instrumental version of it…. And it really creeped me out. Her music is verrrry demonic. Like, I felt weird energy around me for a while after listening to the song for awhile. Like I hate it bc the song is sooo incredible sounding.. but it aggravates my soul & my spirit bc it offends the One I love. My faith. What this girl is speaking is the truth.
