20 years later, and the music for Aeris still chokes me up inside. I remember restarting FF 7 three times because I wanted to believe there was a way to save her.
@@MergedElement I don't know why you would want to change the most iconic moment in FF 7, but yea there might be a chance...I really hope it doesn't though. No eye will be dry if they use Tina's version of aeriths theme during her death. That was really soemthing..
If I recall there was a way to bring her back at the very end but you had to do some very specific stuff. I literally never finished the game because I was so pissed that they killed my first virtual girlfriend.
I have never commented on a RUclips video before but.......but this I felt like I had to....the way you played the boss theme filled me with so much power and then you cut to the saddest part ever and I wont lie you captured the way i felt 20 years ago watching her drift away into the water......dont ever stop what you do this was brilliant
Absolutely amazing medley! I couldn't help but cry when Aerith's Theme and Main Theme of Final Fantasy VII started playing, it filled me with so many feels! ❤️
just breathtaking. The music with the cello, plus an exhilirating video performance as well, floating with pink fabric in the water and playing with a dripping cello on the shore. (standing ovation).
I saw this video as an ad and i usually dont press ads, but when I saw that it had something to do with Final Fantasy VII, I clicked without thinking...
rodmongodwood ohh... I understand that! I don’t like to play these games either so I watch their cinematic cutscenes cause DAMN BOI THEY ALL LOOK HANDSOME AS HELL WHUUUUUTT!! Rufus, Reno, Cloud Strife, Zack, Sephiroth... HELP they are so hot! Have you watched them in the remake? Boy be prepared... especially when Reno comes in sight, the theme of the Turk plays and that sounds so sexy with Reno.... I’m a girl btw and yeah dude I cannot stand their handsomeness! I love the story as well of FF7 remake so I just watch the cutscenes instead of playing the game... I let the gamers do the gaming via streaming platform so I just watch them play and follow the story with them
I'm in tears, haha. Tina is an ethereal creature; the world does not deserve her. FFVII's main theme always puts me in a densely nostalgic mood and she captured the sweeping poignancy so well. Those last couple of minutes... ugh! So marvelous!
She just keeps getting better. And better. And better. Magnificent musical performance and visual art here. The underwater part looks like a Monet water painting.
A moment in the Aeris sequence actually took me back to when I was playing the game. Whether you like what this woman did here or not, she deserves to be respected, not just for her musical talents, or even her love for FF7, but also because she (or her crew) went through the effort of creating visuals that resembled aspects of the game. Bravo, Ms.Guo! Bravo to everyone who participated in making this masterpiece!
Tina, this is amazing... the costumes, makeup, and settings were PERFECT!! my childhood was filled with Final Fantasy, and VII made a HUGE impact on my life. you made me feel 14 again, from the anticipation at the beginning, to the bang your head at the dope jam of the first boss battle, Aerith (actual Japanese translation, for fellow western fans) dying, yes, we ALL cried then, don't be a wuss... all the feels came back! Thank you, Tina :)
Only thing i'd ask is a followup video with Fallen Angel (Sephiroth's theme), Yuffie, ya know... all the other tasty bits of that slice of digital heaven :)
The main theme has always been an extremely inspirational piece to me ever since I first played the game (Japanese version). Then when I heard 5:24 for the first time I was immeasurably moved and in awe. A perfect ending to a masterful performance.
I can't watch this and not cry during Aerith's part. This whole video is amazing. Thank you for a wonderful performance. I would love to hear more FFV11 stuff, but thats just because it is my favorite game.
Tina I got so excited when I seen this!, I'm lost for words! This game was my childhood and this was so nostalgic!. I don't know if I can handle this much beauty in a video! lol Seriously amazing. Thankyou.
This is so beautiful. Such a good mix of passion and musical expression. And, compliments to all of you involved in creating the video! All of your music and videos are so inspiring.
Such a great video and the music is absolutely beautiful. Great work! I'm listening to it over and over. Love it! I bought the album when it came out and enjoy it very much.
This is one of the most beautiful pieces and I love the rock part, but the classical start and ending is absolutely amazing. One of your best videos, too!
yeah, such a nice feeling after stuck on repeat the whole album and a new video pops out. Tina would kill on a cover of Iron Maiden's "Transylvania"...
I'm new to this kind of music, never really thought of listening to it, outside of hearing these in a sound track. Its incredible. I'll still listen to my classic rock, but I'm buying your cd and keeping it in my truck.
FF7 will forever remain as one of the best jrpg games there ever was. And your beautiful medley is a worthy tribute to that game! Thank you for this wonderful performance!
Alright, so... your music gives me goosebumps, naturally. It just does, you're so unbelievably talented, and the cello is my favourite instrument, by far. However, for the first time in YEARS, your music did something to me that has not happened for way too long. I was effortlessly, subconsciously transported into another world. You made me see and feel things in my mind that I used to get when listening to really good music and just relaxing and letting go. Thank you so much. This might be my favourite piece of yours so far, and I am OBSESSED with Rains of Castamere. This evoked feelings in me that other songs just don't. I'm so glad I found you! You're my new favourite cellist. And the fact that you play the erhu just makes it better, because that instrument also sounds enchanting and goes so perfectly with your cello.
I can't stop crying... Thanks so much another time. Final Fantasy VII was incredible and your performance has been a really wonderful tribute to such amazing videogame. Nobuo Uematsu should see this beautiful wonder.
