This is the weirdest most complex remixes Gamefreak has done so far cause they sound like a whole different music, basically only hinting the originals. Battle themes apart, but also those have a heavily different vibe. It's very amazing. Can't imagine the work they'll do on Kalos with Legends Z-A Kirean with Iris and N seems stretchedly false though
If it's made by the same team that made Legends Arceus I'm looking forward to their soundtrack. I grew up with diamond pearl and platinum it was my first game. Hearing the remixed Dialga and Palkia theme hit my soul out of my body for a few minutes. Same faces. Same Pokemon I knew. Dawn/Lucus to Akari/Rei.

But it really wasn't time yet, we are still in Gen 9. Excluding the first Kanto remakes(and Let's go, I guess) the remakes are always on the even numbered Gen and never on the same console.

I know that the originals will never beat the remixed version of these tracks but I'm just simply happy for the fact that they're there. They also don't have to necessarily be on par either. Opelucid's portion for example is just describing a more snowy feel, which makes sense since it takes place in the Polar Biome. Same with Coastal Biome taking cues from Driftveil City's theme, especially since that's where Lacey is.
I feel gen 5 had more variation in their songs and made it noticeable whereas scarlet and violet feels hollow Like its tech based and lacks the sounds a real instrument would make. Idk how to explain but think scarlet and violet has its music as one continuous beat that has no pauses whereas black and white does even when the song is continuous every instrument takes a break for the other to shine through
