I've been wanting to make a drawnwork hankie for a while and this is probably the best tutorial I've seen. Usually, there are fingers or hands in the way of the camera, or they start with the threads already pulled (but not how to pull them or where to start!). So thanks for that and for the inspiration!!
They taught me how to do this in second grade. I am right handed. However, my Mom is left handed. I learned how to sew and embroider from my Mom. In second grade I sewed this stitch left to right. The teacher was very confused and wanted to know why. I couldn't understand her question. The finished stitch was identical to hers. All I could think of was 'how else would I do it?' That was quite a few decades ago. To this date I still chuckle when I remember her dismay because I was doing it backwards and she could figure it out.
15:13 Вафлі. Вони були в мене на сукні до випуску в школі. Це був 1976 рік! А сукня, на жаль, не зберіглася. Мама пошила сукню, а я саме ці "вафлі" робила.

This was a lovely tutorial, thank you!
Great lesson Amalie. Kudos filming so competently with a nipper at your side.
Thank you! I have been wanting to learn this and now I also have random pieces of linen around to practice with. :)
You make me feel like I can do it! 😊
You totally can!!! Go for it 😃
I'm definitely inspired to go forth and make things :-) Looking forward to more videos.
Yay, I’m so glad! Thanks for watching
What do you do with the tail when you start the decorative stitches?
❤
Well done! Can't wait to stitch.
Thanks for watching!
I have been searching for a video like this! Thank you! Will you be showing any other designs?
