Fairouz is truely THE best female singer in the history of Middle Eastern arts.
Bulent Ersoy is better and by far but then i really don't count Turkey as a pure middle eastern country.
Lebanese. Stop trying to take credit if you're not from Lebanon.
My dad went to a few fairouz concerts back in the day, he listens to this OFTEN to this day, love her voice and the poetry of the song writing.
Dear sir, I hope you would have the time to listen to Asmahan and her brother Fareed Al Atrash! If Asmahan had lived as long as Um Kalthoom did, she would be be number one in my opinion! The brother, Fareed, is a legend in playing the Ud instrument , writing music and singing! Both sibling were way ahead their times…. Listen to Layaly Al uns fee Vienna, sang by Asmahan and music by her brother Fareed!

I grew up listening to Fairouz and still enjoy listening to her. The music, lyrics and voice flows inside you like magic. When you are used to this quality it is hard to listen to today's music
