Yes, I am now very much aware that "The World's Best" is a bad show - even though all comments (except that last one >:() were amazing and Dimash done an amazing performance. I get it, you guys only want me to react to certain performances and that is absolutely fine. But please don't tell me not to react to this AFTER I've reacted to it. This was filmed over a week ago. I don't think you guys understand how much work goes into making just 1 reaction video. It takes around 4 hours from start to finish (getting ready, lighting, camera, filming, editing, uploading, thumbnail) for a 7 minute video. I also work full time (which doesn't include youtube) and I'm studying for a degree. So much time and effort goes into this. No, that's not your problem - I do this because I love it. I love discovering new music and reading what you guys have to say. But to have videos that people just dismiss and then TELL me that they're not going to watch it because of whatever reason (why tell me you're not going to watch it? Just don't watch it?), it's very disheartening. Of course, you guys can do whatever it is that you want to do - just please be aware of how your words can affect someone else. Be kind to eachother :) x
I hasten to tell you the good news! A young 26-year-old Kazakh singer Dimash Kudaibergen finally took the rightful first place on the English-language channel MTV USA this week. This singer with a unique voice range is currently the only singer from the former Soviet republics who has been able to reach the world level.
“The World’s Best” in 2019 was his last competition. And he quit it in the finals, because initially he was told he would not be competing against children but in the finals it was him against kids, and he graciously decided to step down to let the kids move forward because it was the right thing according to his Kazakh traditions (as a long-time fan I assure you he is a very traditional man, so for him this was a natural move) and ethically it was the right thing too since he clearly was 10000 times better than those kids, and he wanted the kids to move ahead. One of those kids was Daneliya , another Kazakh, whom he supported and mentored since she was very little . So he quit The World’s Best competition for the right reasons. But for TV drama and ratings, Ru Paul, one of the judges who had become a huge Dimash fan throughout the competition up to that point, threw a tantrum for ratings. The show is now long cancelled. Anyway, so, yes, he has won many prizes in his life. But after this particular competition in the USA which, like I said he quit, he said it was his last competition and he won’t be competing anymore. And that was the best decision because clearly any competition on this earth is beneath his skills at this point in his career. He is technically superior to even the highest selling singers out there. Vocally better than any professional singer you can name. So to put him in any competition, regardless of whether he wins the top prize or not, is just ridiculous, when he is literally technically the best singer on the planet and should not be even put in front of cheesy judges to be judged. I mean in the beginning of his career, in order to spread his name internationally, it was necessary for him to be in competitions but of course at this point in his career there is no need for it.

A competition called The Worlds Best, but Dimash withdrew so not to compete against younger singers. Oh, that was Faith Hill, a country singer, so what does she know!!! Just kidding, but she must have been sleeping !!!
It was a singing reality show competition that treated Dimash very badly and he quit when he was expected to compete against a child, when he specifically said he couldn't do that because his homeland traditions mean he is dedicated to building the youth up and mentoring them as an adult should, not make them feel bad or compete against them and squash their dreams - he is right too, I agree. We should protect and nurture our children, not put them out and leave them to predators to rip to shreds.
Not to worry Abi, he has done this song equally amazing each time so if you decide to hear the full version of it from Bastau, New York, or Singer 2017 , you will be equally amazed. There are so so many performances of Dimash you have not seen that are just mesmerizing. Thank you for doing Dimash.

She was either stunned to realize he could sing 10 times better than her; or she was sleeping through the entire performance. Western singers are scared of Dimash; because the talent gap stands out so strongly they have to be critical to save face, which may explain her reaction.

This show is in a format that doesn't suit Dimash. The songs are squized into such a tight time frame thet you get DImash on steroids, you miss all the little details, the build up and dynamics that he is soo good at. If this show was an art show you would see a cropped picture of Mona Lisa's smile, still beautiful but taken out of context. Your reaction was great and you couldn't know what lots of us think about this show but I prefer other (longer) versions of this song like the one from Bastau (on his official YT channel). Dimash did a cover same as Celine Dion, originally Eric Carmen wrote the lyrics and used music from one of Sergei Rachmaninoff's concertos to create this song in 1975.

Just a bit of information for you and you are not alone in doing this I've noticed talking about all by myself being originally by Celine Dion which is incorrect. Celine Dion's was a cover of Eric Carmen's all by myself from the '90s I think, I could be wrong about that.

Probably the reason you haven't heard of this show before is because it was canceled after one season. Faith Hill (country singer) is the judge who said the stupidest thing ever to someone who just blew the roof off the building with that performance. This video is really chopped up and doesn't even show the entire song.
