Dear Talal The video takes indeed ten minutes, but when we plant we do a tree in a minute. When you compare the Groasis Technology with drip irrigation, the only alternative in a desert, then to install and maintain that takes more than ten times more labour. You have to instal pumps, pipes, tubes, do annual maintenance and replace it every 7 years. So in order to plant deserts, the Groasis Technnology is really a disruptive money saving way of making wasteland productive again. greetz Pieter

هناك حل 👌 لعدم وصول جذور الحشائش ... وهو بصناعة كيس مقوى من الجوانب .. خفيف وهش من الأسفل ، يكون قطر دائرتة كقطر دائرة هذا الإختراع من الأسفل ويكون بعمق نصف متر والصاقه بحوافه من الجوانب جيدا بعد وضع التربة والسماد داخل هذا الكيس ودفنه وبعد تفاعل الأكسجين مع الأملاح المعدنية في السماد والتربة طبعاً ... مجرد إقتراح اتمنى ان يفيدكم .... وشكرا

If the specifically designed reusable plastic growing containers were used (designed to promote better root development) that the Lebanon Reforestation Initiative utilises, you might find that the primary roots would be able to remain on the plant & if course, no single use plastic waste in addition to lowering cost of production.
Would dearly love to see what level of success this particular project looks like in 2020. I am curious however. How on earth do protect these young plants from marauding 🐫 🐫 🐫??

how can the condensation occur on top of the lid if it's filled with sand?? sand would constantly be blowing around... I doubt this would work for an extreme desert without additional water being added.

Dear sir your tree plantation procedure is good. Plant bag cutting from the bottom is good for roots. I think if you cut plants from the stem then new branches will come from the sides. But they can't come out of the Box easily. I think you should cut the stem from the outside after fixing the box. Secondly your plant Wick is outside. Therefore plant roots will not go inside soil. Always roots go towards water. This way plants can go down in Swift air blowing time. You should fix a small pipe and the wick should be inserted in the bottom side of the pipe. This way plant roots will go down side.

It's just a thought but if food waste was collected from urban households and composted, then used in conjunction with the Groasis Waterbox system, could that result in a more sustainable & expansive program long term? Food waste is collected from urban households and composted in the UK and then has a second life elsewhere, keeping it out of landfills & preventing methane emissions.

En algunos comentarios dicen que con una olla de barro sin esmaltar aún lado puede funcionar y dicen que el punto en contra es que tienes que rellenar la olla constantemente, la otra opción es comprar las donas tipo cocoon de papel biodegradable pero dicen que en vez de usar cordón de algodón uses uno de cobre, aparentemente las sales del agua tapan el cordón co el tiempo(leí en comentarios) yo voy a hacer una casera y usaré lluvia sólida al mismo tiempo para que mis jacarandas aguanten, también quiero reforestar mi colonia acá en edomex, saludos!

so i suppose the answer is Yes .. they do grow and it's working ... the method is spreading around in Arabia and neighboring countries are considering using it
because Arabia have been desertification for 5000 years non stop .. and in the last 150 years it gotten worse and worse rapidly

Dear Talal Only the planting takes a bit longer, but then there is no maintenance anymore. If you use drip irrigation, the installation of the irrigationsystem, wells, pumps, tubes takes much more time and money. Then after planting with drip irrigation you have to replace your tubes every 7 years, eternally. For more info about costs, pls visit my website

is that mean when you use the Groasis waterBox do not need a tree planted to watering process at all, even in hot and dry regions too? No summer or winter? Is it possible to use such thing for rain-fed cultivation of fruit trees? An example of this I live in theKurdistan Region of Iraq / northern Iraq, where the frigid winter and cool in mountainous areas and rain rate up to 300-450 millimeter per year, and also that the summer is hot and very dry, do you think that we can use the Agroasis here ? if so for how long( in years) the box should stay in the ground.

Hi Sallkan. The price also depends on the amount of boxxes ordered. The more you order, the cheaper they become. And don't forget that they are at least 10 years reusable. Also there's a possibility (depending on location, climate and type of tree) to plant 2 trees at a time. In this case the cost per planting is actually 20 times cheaper than mentioned. But we are taking notes! And are always looking for ways to reduce the price, thanks for your feedback. ^MK
