Making and Canning Ball's Vegetable Stock Recipe

    Ingredients:
    1 pound carrots
    6 stalks of celery
    3 medium onions
    2 red bell peppers
    2 large tomatoes
    2 medium turnips (I did not use these)
    3 crushed garlic cloves
    3 bay leaves
    1 tsp crushed dried thyme
    8 whole peppercorns
    7 quarts water

    Hi Debbie.....this video appeared at exactly the right time for me as I have decided that as I use up my chicken stock I will replace it with vegetable stock. I had just begun looking for a recipe I thought I might like and this one fits the bill. Thanks so much

    Thanks for showing what finger tight means. I had a bad experience with canning pears when I was younger and the bottling water flooded the jars. I was too frightened to try again and ruining more food. Your demonstration has helped greatly. Thanks.

    could you safely skip canning this and jump right into canning the salsbury steak patties with this stock and then can what is left of the stock afterwards?
