Bendigo Pioneers - Archer Day-Wicks

Bendigo Pioneers Archer Day Wicks showed plenty of promise as an under-age prospect, playing with flair and confidence. Archer is a classy left-footed medium forward who is strong overhead for his size and capable of kicking special goals with his power and endurance suiting specific roles in the midfield and across half-back.
A Vic Country Under 18 berth came his way in 2023, despite battling through a hip flexor issue and glandular fever that year he showed some of his qualities in the three matches for Victoria Country, averaging 10.3 disposals and 1.3 goals per game.
Archer played 3 games for Vic Country this year and was named in the AFL Academy heading into 2024 but again faced an early-season setback, with a corkie sustained in Round 1 keeping him out until Round 6. He returned via the representative stage for the second AFL Academy showcase.
Archer Day-Wicks has established himself as one to watch since debuting for Bendigo Pioneers as a sixteen year old, he is athletic hard working and resilient and has positioned himself as a great AFL draft prospect in 2024.
