Presidential Assistance to Farmers, Fisherfolk and Families in Cagayan de Oro City (Speech)

Continuing his provision of assistance to El Niño-hit provinces in Mindanao, President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. visits Cagayan de Oro to distribute various government aid to intended recipients on May 16, 2024.
Receiving cash assistance worth PhP10,000 each are 40 identified farmers, fisherfolk and family beneficiaries from Cagayan de Oro City and the Provinces of Camiguin, Misamis Oriental and Bukidnon.
Likewise, the Chief Executive leads the distribution of Presidential assistance in the amount of PhP10 million to the City Government of Cagayan de Oro, PhP10 million to the Provincial Government of Camiguin, PhP50 million to the Provincial Government of Misamis Oriental and PhP50 million to the Provincial Government of Bukidnon.
Furthermore, the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) will be distributing PhP10,000 each to more farmers, fisherfolk and family beneficiaries while the Office of House Speaker Ferdinand Martin Romualdez is giving five (5) kilos of rice to each attendee.
Apart from the program with President Marcos Jr., regional line agencies such as the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), and Department of Health (DOH) are set to distribute assistance to their respective beneficiaries during the Bagong Pilipinas Serbisyo Fair at the University of Science and Technology - Southern Philippines.
