Hey there! I hope you and the people around you are all okay! I'm from Portugal and everything is sooo chaotic! My uni shut down and now nobody knows what is going to happen. This video made me think "fuck it I'm cleaning my closet" and i think that's beautiful! Be safe :)
I'm in the US and my state of MA just got put under an emergency warning,but only some colleges are actually closing campus. The US is not taking this as seriously as other countries and because of that things are spreading rapidly

a HUGE thing that helped me with my closet was taking off the sliding door (keeping the tracks in place & putting the door in the basement) & replacing it was a super cheap curtain rod & semi-opaque curtains. makes it easier to access the whole closet!!😊

Somewhere in the latter point of my 53yrs - I finally came to understand the difference between clothing items & home decor etc I think are nice/pretty & those items I will actually want to put on my body on a daily basis or look at in my home. From there I realized I could better define my "style" even if that was pretty eclectic. Marie Kondo's method also helped me to part w/expensive or sentimental items. What a relief that is!!
I'm same with nostalgia and attatchment to items! I actually have my 2nd grade mathbook in a box because I did good and I got a sticker in it so i can't bring myself to throw it out
I also have tooooo many stuffed animals but they all have their own stories and names. It's hard!
I remember my first clean out. It felt good. Sooo many bags were donated/sold.. crazy! Then I had a few more clean outs after that. After doing this wonderful process, you feel more conscious of what you're bringing in to your closet.
Good tip : one new things goes in, one old thing goes out.

I have realized that I always watch organizing/decluttering videos, I search something like "closet cleanout" then be like "I guess this person I haven't heard of's video works and then I end up binging that person's channel and maybe subscribing.
