This played out in my head like an old, silent, black and white movie! There was suspense,mystery, amusement, concern, sadness and SO much more going on! It was amazing! I never experienced that before.
When you play something like this, they always say that it sucks, and they want you to play fur elise instead. One of my friends literally told me that after I finished playing Moment Musicaux no.4 by Rachmaninoff. He said that it sounded weird, and he thought that I was doing random bullshit on the piano. So I decided to play fur elise in violent octaves just to rough him up.
@@robert.m6755 they dont normally have knowledge of classical music. They haven't been exposed to the classical world or aren't curious to. And there are much more unique pieces other than fur elise. Or they have just heard just random pieces somewhere and just point that:- " This is Mozart! Or This is Bach or Beethoven!" They might not know more composers than these three people . Its also sad to the classical music world that audiences dont normally have the curiosity to listen to other composers which are much modern like the later half of the 20th Century or even the early 21st century. Like of course people know Stravinsky but people like Iaanis Xenakis, Penderecki (personal favourite), Rautavarra, Philip Glass, Max richter are not frequently performed like the rest of the repertoire because not only they are cotemporary post modern composers, but the audience doesn't connect to the music. The sad part is that contemporary music doesn't sit too well with the older audiences even though they can be highly original or something new. Its like you giving music what they want. Why Stravinsky is a great composer? He gave the audience something unexpected. The Rite of Spring is an example. His modern ballet they literally caused a riot at the opera house Théâtre des Champs-Élysées, there was a series of fights or riot after 15 mins. People shouted, screamed, fought against one and other therefore making this one of the most famous classical music riots. However then the rite of spring became one of the most influential pieces in the 20th century. At the end of day, time will truly change when people will truly start recognising these masterpieces for they way they are and how revolutionary they were in their times........
dunno why but i love those abrupt silence on release of the pedal at those large chords at the begining - the effect makes me feel like the sound is more quiet than the actuall silence :D hopefully some1 knows how i feel. and yeah the piece is such a treat! thanks traum :)

Giving a real comment, besides my joking one, it is always insanely impressive to watch you play. Even on a piece with some of the insane things it has you do, I still can distinctly feel your phenomenal expressions. You are an inspiration with your ability!
It's easy to speed up without making it obvious when playing in such a dark environment, as well as having the bright notes distracting. Don't feel bad about online covers, because a lot of it is sped up, unfortunately.
Personally, I'm not a fan of this style of music (i think it's impressionistic iirc) but i commend you for playing it, your skills don't cease to amaze everyone watching.
Your ability to transcribe and play the most difficult of pieces constantly bewilders me and this piece is no exception. It does raise a question . How do you get up in the morning and decide today is the day when l'm going to sit down at the piano and compose a piece such as this ?! Some composers must write it first and then play it!!! HOW? The beginning is one of the best beginnings of a piece that I have been able to listen to until recess in C major, it seems exotic, unusual, interesting and above all your interpretation, as always professional and giving it the feeling it has to be

You should learn some of the sorabj opus clavicembalisticum. Its devilishly hard. But you would be the first to upload any of it in this visual format on RUclips. I also reccomend the ligeti etudes. Best of luck with the channel I can't wait to see you grow to the size of rosseau and beyond!
Just as I was watching this, my cat was walking across my piano keyboard, and for just a few moments, it sounds almost the same as the piece, and I burst out laughing my ass off!
