      Because of the fact that vanilla ice sucked after all. One hit wonder. 1 Eminem # 1 white rapper then bubba had ugly and this one. Then a couple more good songs. Bubba had potential to do more. He surpassed being a 1 hit wonder though.

      Yes it did...I never heard anybody downplay Bubba, black, white or otherwise. Hip-Hop just wasn't as mainstream then as it is now. He would probably have been bigger now just because the whole industry is bigger and white people doing black music is kinda the norm now.
