So funny. I moved out here to Magna last year. Im only a couple blocks down from that car wash I own a couple businesses and after seeing that carwash all the time I decided to research if the carwash business was viable today and randomly stumbled upon your video. I Subscribed, and look forward to watching your videos concerning this project wish you the best.
Don't forget to sell car wash products like drying towels, air freshners and others. Also i don't see any vacuums nice to have on the side and you could possible throw some vending machines for drinks.
If you are still looking at a automated one look for one that is also for dually vehicles. We have only found 1 in our travels. They do not have the tracks to pull it through. You just drive straight in and stop the equipment moves. There are getting to be a lot more dually out there. The nice thing is all vehicles can go through these.
Where I live in Oregon it would cost about $15-$20 a wash depending on how thorough you are as well as how many different products you use. So depending on how long that $6 gives you, seems like a solid deal.
Hey I like that you know I like to detail cars 2 you know used to own my own mobile car detailing business had to stop for a minute finna get back started but that's a good thing you doing keep up the good work keep up the good work and I like how you coming up
You can get some money back from those old pump units(or at least the CAT pump and motor on them). Some of the self serve washes near me use a tube connected to the underside of the meter box that the coins fall into, and whenever any of the pumps are active, it creates a vacuum in those tubes and brings the coins to the equipment room.
I have owned a 4 bay self serve for 2 years now so I am a rookie. Your traffic count and population is almost identical to my town. Who ever gave you that 12K a month number is WAY off. I have turned my around like you have and not close to that number and I have increased the cash flow since I owned it. Now I am cash only so I don't know what credit cards would ad. Also I would just try to get the coin boxes setup the way they are and skip credit cards for now. See what your cash flow will be first and add to it.
In south florida there is a concept doing real well. 5-7$ automated car wash with free vacuums. You should consider installing an automated section with a few free vacuums. I've studied the realestate side and the economics of the business. Seems to work.
I would love to get one or two automatics with a $5-7 rate/unlimited plans by reading license plates with cameras. We priced it out already and it was very steep. We need to see the market for self-serve washing first.
@@therevestor and once customers find out, they'll just print out some plates. Those automated car washes use RFID readers and tags. Not that RFID can't be hacked and cloned... I cloned my own tags. But it takes more effort and technical knowledge + equipment to read and program RFID tags than printing out a fake plates to fool your license plate reader.
$6 might be kind of up there for a self serve wash. I recall them atmy time back then no more than $1.50 for 5 or 7 minutes I think. Maybe for a drive and sit in wash I remember at around that cost. Maybe times have changed 🤷♂️
Hi Nathan - congrats on the car wash! We can easily lower your utility costs (Gas/Water/Electric) so you're on the lower end of the bill spectrum when you get up and running. Cheers!
@@Tuvzii lol I also live in the middle of no where Tennessee an everyone drives trucks so this self wash carwashes are life for washing all the mud off our trucks
Maybe traditional forms of advertising. I am actually talking about more organic advertising like setting up car meets etc. that will create word of mouth.

Yep, only ones I use! Charge 3x as much as a regular one, couldn’t care
He should get a water wizard in there
I was watching a video about the automatic wash bays and a system itself can run 100k
Take one bay and make it a full detailing bay there is always gonna be some one that wants something more pro for there cars!!!

Amazing entrepreneurship content, and great car enthusiast content also. Wish you success.
I would add bills to it..as well .now u have to spend on a quarter exchanger..
I want to keep my cash centralized in one secure area. If I was in a more affluent area I would love to get bill acceptors.

I would really like to see one of those in action. Sounds like a good idea.
@@therevestor I found out what it is called, it is called "VAC-IT-UP".
I have been thinking Industry standard is around 1500 a bay. 2500 would awesome. Good luck wish you the best. I hope to start something soon.
My goal is to be above average

U should put up some solar panels and put up car chargers during vacuming

here in MD if you want to use one of these self serve, you are going to be out at least 10-12$
You cannot clean a car in 5 mins.
Yeah. It was a lot cheaper back when you were washing your pinto.
The typical coat for an express car wash these day is $10.00.
Why put credit card reader in every bay and not only at the bill exchanger? Tokens are also less coins to handle when you make 1 token =1$
Are there no competitors nearby?
I like your ideas

What are the expected monthly expenses?
Hi. I am interested in starting a self-washing business in another country. I have a few questions. Would appreciate for help
What kind of credit card reader did you go with ?
Nayax for now.
How do you borrow money to own car wash ?
not finished with the series? but I hope you guys used tokens instead of quarters
I plan to setup tokens soon
There are no affordable car washes to purchase in California =(
$6 a wash holy s*** its only $1.75 where I'm at for self wash lol

Yeah its a little more than that around here
Maybe install an automatic bay, PDQ is a great company to start with.
Have you tried the dosatron pumps for low pressure set ups? If so do they work good?
I hear they fluctuate too much with different water pressures
Hey what are some of the FB pages you joined for tips?
TalkCarWash
How much did you end up purchasing for the car wash
A six figure amount
Estimates are very high per bay.
These are not necessarily estimates but goals
If you need help with compressed air equipment let's talk
Sounds like an awesome plan!
How did you find the owners of the car wash?
County Records
So fun
I think advertising will be a waste of money.

It’s ok if you don’t want to tell us but how much did you pay for the car wash?
The entire project is going to be over 300k.
@@therevestor super good price !
Are you going to put in foam cannons?

Bro, those pumps are not scrap..lol
You throwing money away if you dont use them, i can rebuild a cat pump for under 100$ in about an hour
