As someone who can’t even hammer a nail in straight I have to admire you and holly for getting stuck into a project like this and pulling it off magnificently! We all can’t wait for 2020 to finish hopefully to a better 2021. Cheers!
Elsie looks amazing!!! It was so surreal to watch this video today (in Nov 2021), seeing again that very 1st announcement about restrictions and none of us had any idea back when you made this of what lay ahead.
The last 5 minutes sums up so much of 2020. We have been so hesitant in making plans, because as I’m sure you know too well The situation changes daily/weekly. Either way you guys are 100% troopers. INSPIRED....
This is some of the best content on RUclips. I absolutely love that you two have made something and you’ve made it yourself. You haven’t spent $60k and just handed over to have a product that may or may not suit your needs. You should both be proud of the work you’ve done and the bonding you share doing it. My wife and I love watching these updates!
WELL DONE ! looks proper good. It's a bugger about lockdown, but then we are all in the same boat there. Won't last forever and you'll be living the troopy dream. Good luck you two.
Great job ! You should both be very proud of what you have achieved in bring a lot more life back into the old Girl. Looks fantastic. You wou will be very happy with the Stedi lights. I have a Stedi Lightbar in an Amarok and it is phenomenal.
@@OverlandTravellers yes, so keen to get started on it. The best thing about it is I know exactly what needs to be done to it (which is still a lot) as my pop has owned it for over 20 years.
Hi Guys, another great video, Elsie is looking great. I hope you and your families are all safe & well with this virus and the work in SA went well. Cheers.
welcome to my world.....I have 75 series ute fitted it out with all the bells and whistles....for touring and trips across Australia.........thousands and thousands spent lost count on build ....cant go anywhere in lock down here in vic central gold fields area ....I know the feeling guys overland travellers ......liking your build so far
@@OverlandTravellers problem is I haven't even use the vehicle yet I will in the future ...I have another 60 series plenty of memories with that old girl over seventeen years of owner ship she still going with 500.000 km on the clock hope to do some travel trips when the covid is over cheers
I love your vids 😍 Especially this budget build style because I have been sucked in to always wanting to do complete rebuild and this brings me down to earth and what I can actually afford
It’s a shame that you can’t finish her off. I for one am looking forward to seeing both of you on the road. The paddocks have so much feed and undulating lovely property. Good luck in SA with work. See you guys soon I hope as you are great couple to watch together 👏👏😘
That's a nice looking Bull Bar. Too often they are a giant mass of steel which hides the flow of the vehicle's lines. It's always a bit of a compromise between protection and aesthetics, but in reality, for the amount of time they are required as protection, yours fills the bill nicely. Cheers and stay safe.
Dont know if you already have a winch, but Carbon Winches have just released a limited run Sandy Taupe winch which would look really shmicko on old rig.
You guys uploaded this on Sunday now? Lol, please don't make my Monday boring hahahaha. I always have thing to do on Sunday so i don't often watch RUclips. Congratulations on the complete of Elsie, she is beautiful. Matt has a new girlfriend 🤣🤣🤣. Now, I'm wondering wherw u guys arw right now, perhaps travelling around NSW or you already in interstate because the restriction lifted in May? Next episode please 😄😄
Doing a great Job. But I doubt Toyota’s Chassis holes were wrong at the bumper when they built it. 😉 Keep up the good work, it’s good to see the old Rig being saved. 😊👍
I love your idea for the roller to get the shape of the roof. I'm just wondering why you didn't wrap the carpet from the top piece to the other piece instead of two pieces, yes I did notice the hinges. Both you and Holly have done a fantastic job and it shows. It's a shame to park up your hard work and not use it but that's how this goes I guess.. I'm still here in Lockdown in Melb.
Wow it’s looking good and I love the spottys but expensive for a p platers 4WD and the uhf is expensive too but it makes the car pop to be honest. And why did you leave one of the spottys covered
@@juststuffwithwolfe4482 That is insurance is for and also driving to suit the conditions. The better driving lights may illuminate something that stops you having a crash in the 1st place 👍
Shame you couldn't place some Australian made lights on the front. DIY is good and will save some money, assuming its done well. I love the old troopies. I'd like to do one myself with a 1VD in it. Won't happen though
@@OverlandTravellers good stuff. I am thinking of doing the same to my old daihatsu Rocky. Probably not as loud as your cruiser was but good to know it works.
My partner and I are want to be overlanders and watch every episode that comes out. Matt I swear you are getting harder to understand and I'm an Aussie. Talk slower and practice dropping all the unnecessary umms and yeahs and share the narrative with Hollie! Looking forward to sharing in your journey in the future.

I can't wait to grab the troopy that's sitting my pops shed exact same year and colour. This series has given me a lot of info on what to expect 👍
Very lucky mate they are awesome and pretty desirable now! Go give it some love and you'll have an awesome rig.

Awesome! Bulbar looks awesome can’t beat an Arb bar. Love the custom tool for getting the lines of the roof for the console 😜
Best of luck guys. Look forward to seeing Elsie again soon.
Beautiful work guys, living vicariously through you from not so fun Melbs

Great video. The troopy looks sick. Great job to you both.
Should of stayed in WA to do the resto... we are free to wander out yonder lol.

Hopefully we can see yours one day!
Excellent vlog guys. Thanks.
Glad you enjoyed it
Good stuff guys keep at it 🤙🤙
Love it!!! My OCD is going wild with only one light cover on though 😂😂😂
Love your guys videos. You're such a great team learning as you go.
Can't wait to see more build and more adventures.
Now go make some money.

2H to 12HT should be the next thing! Love the rig!! 😄👍🏽
Defiantly! its on the to do list.

Cheers for the Sunday upload
I seen the upload and shat myself thinking it was Monday and was mega late for work lol thanks for the great vids 👍🏻🤙🏼
Haha very sorry about that but I did have a good chuckle 😅
Great episode, you guys have done a great job , plenty of time for touring once Covid is over 👍

Super crisp guys! 🍺
Looking the goods. In my experience the spread beam driving light should always go on the passenger side 👍
what’s this 2 uploads in 7 days? Great to see this coming together. Steve 🇳🇿
The spot need to be on the right. Lesser glare from road sign. Spread on the left also give a bit more coverage on the left side of the road
Looking Great
Cheers
Wow clean windows.
New front windshield 😂
Very close to my dream build
There is still a few cool things to happen to it ;)

Mainly just so it's easy to open. When folded over and then moved around even with glue it can peel off.
So close better of in my state to wait it out at least you have something to work for 👍
