JOin us as we explore the abandoned dump. We found some bottle digger holes , which always turn up some interesting finds. Many finds were just lying on the ground waiting to be discovered. We love finding old bottles and this dump didn;t disappoint. SO many things to find!

So lovely to see the Frank Cooper Oxford marmalade jar. Took me back to my childhood in Oxford as we had family members working in the factory so it was the brand of preference used at home. (I think discounts for workers were possibly why!) What a treasure trove of bottles this dump is. Some brilliant finds. Manky seemed to be really enjoying his day too. He looked like a small kid, happily climbing up onto his tree branch, having a great adventure. The wild garlic was glorious. So many brilliant bottles.

Hi both X we are loving the mudlarking videos again. Oliver is still very keen and follows in your footsteps. His eyes are always looking down no matter where we go. I think I would have still kept that broken Virolax bottle. You could have made a small natural scene in it...perhaps put some moss fashioned as a nest with a bird in it? Or even florals. I probably would have taken more jars that I needed home; they were all really neat!
What a wonderful idea. After reading your comment I could picture it. Maybe a battery candle too to make a pretty nite lite.

What a wonderful lark! I would have two huge bags of bottles and one huge one just to grab some wild ramps! I have never found any to try them yet, any chance you can send a bag full? lol oy I wish! I love those old butter dishes My foster mom had a few like that and she would make pudding in them or custards and sometimes fruit jello for those cool treat in the summer! So many interesting bottles I love the odd shaped or designed ones! DO you ever go wild food hunting?

I see that you have what We here in USA call thisles . But do you have posion ivy over there .too.
No Barbara, we do have a few itchy plants and some poisonous ones, but I don't think Poison Ivy is among them. 🤠😎🐼
We don't have poison ivy here in the British Isles, the main things to watch out for bottle digging are brambles, which are blackberry bushes covered with thorns, and in the warmer months nettles which sting.
