Park your drone at shoulder height, stop all inputs and grab it from underneath and flip it over. It turns off automatically. 90% of my flights are take off and land from my hand. No blade damage, no sand or dirt.

This looks damn good. But, the obstacle avoidance is not as good as my two year old Skydio. Too bad Skydio abandoned us in the "consumer drone" demographic. Question - my Skydio can fly backwards through the waypoint mission. Can the Air 3 do this?

And You kept mentioning being Part 107 certified while flying the Air 3, Is that a requirement to fly (I know it's heavier than the M3P >250G) or would having the Air 3 registered with FAA good enough to recreationally fly it? My Mini 3 Pro is registered, because I added a landing gear, and strobe lights for top and bottom, thus taking it over the >250G mark... Thanks for sharing and #Salute
I've read that the air 3 uses the same omnivision ov48c sensor as the mini 3 Pro. It'd be interesting to see how much better it's utilised in the air 3. Here's an idea for a test. Put the air 3 and mini 3 pro up in the air together, in low light, side by side. Put shutter in manual and at the same speed. Put the iso in auto Then take photos in both 12mp and 48mp. Then compare the results. Then, same again in bright light with a building in the background that has lots of white/light widow frames etc and take 12mp and 48mp photos and compare the results... Then we can see how much better it is... I doubt there'll be much.
Good video, good tease too. I have to call click bait on that one though. That was not a crash per se. that was a rotor strike on landing. A rotor strike is an incident not a crash. Right Greg?
It's NOT a 3x ZOOM lens. It DOESN'T ZOOM AT ALL. It's a FIXED focal length that happens to be approximately three times the focal length of the wider lens. There is nothing magical about DJI's selection of 24mm as "normal" or 70 mm - just what they happened to select.
Exactly... It's a 70mm equivalent... It doesn't have a physical lens that's 60mm or more therefore it's not a actual telephoto lens... I can fly as close as I like to people with my Mini 3 Pro so??? To top it off the mini 3 Pro and Air 3 both use the same omnivision ov48c sensors.. The air 3 is a rip off. It's just a mini 3 Pro with some functionality unlocked in firmware and better obstical avoidance... The omnivision ov48c is nearly 4 years old now and companies like that don't tend to rest on their laurels so they'll most likely be improving the sensor or creating a new one.. We're due some new 1" sensors so... And given djis track record I wouldn't be surprised if we see a air 3 Pro with a 1" omnivision sensor using the same technology with ACTUAL 48 megapixel or 20.at least. I'll wait before I upgrade. In fact, I think it's easy to get 3 years out of a dji drone.
Why does the TRUST exam give me a timed out error every time i try to print/save certificate? I am using the TRUST link from your website. 1st attempt was using an android phone, 2nd was windows pc. Any advise is appreciated.
5:55 so as a recreational Trust flyer we can't fly from a moving vehicle? What about a boat[for recreational lake-life people], is a boat a vehicle that requires a 107 to fly off of?
There is no rules against flying from a moving vehicle on the recreational rules, unless the community based organization rules that you follow prohibit it.

First here! I love my Air 3. There is a noticeable difference on the main camera vs the Mini 3 Pro with that CMOS sensor!

i returned my air 3. Not being able to use the remote pro with it was a deal breaker.

It's a shame that the Mini 3 pro comparison footage was done at completely different video angles. They were pretty much useless.

The Air 3 sensor is not the same as the Mini 3 Pro. It's the same SIZE, but the Air 3 has a stacked sensor. Completely different.
