Sad reality in the Philippines 🇵🇭 Poverty in Manila

  • Hello my dear friend! The purpose of this video is to show people the real life of the country where I travel, I show both sides - not only the positive, but also the negative. So, no offence. In this video, I walk through the biggest slums in Manila. I didn't expect to see so many homeless and beggars in the Philippines. But unfortunately this is the sad reality today in the Philippines. I was staying in the Ermita area in the capital city of Manila and frankly, I was shocked to see how many people live there. Their living conditions are just terrible.
Of course, I help people when I can and when I see that they are in dire need. But unfortunately there are also a lot of beggars, drug addicts who do not want to work and instead ask for money on the streets and after that spend the money on booze or drugs. Worst of all, these people teach the same skills to their children and unfortunately the government does nothing about it. I'm talking not only about the Philippines. The same situation in almost every country today and on the news and on social media we want to hear and see only the positive side. But let me ask you: what is the purpose to see and hear the positive side if the real life for many people is completely fuck*d up today?
By showing this video, I am raising awareness of this issue so that I can seek help from international charities. And at the same time, shame local authorities for not solving the problem because usually people don't know the real situation in the Philippines. Many bloggers simply show the positive side of their traveling pretending that poverty does not exist in their fake wonderful world...
As for the Philippines 🇵🇭 well, AGAIN... no offense to anyone but on my channel I just share my OWN experience... I have many videos about the Philippines. Some good, some bad and that's life whether you like it or not my friend... I also wish the best for all people there and hope that the poverty situation will change soon... People in the Philippines are very friendly and open-minded, and the country itself is absolutely beautiful, with amazing culture and great history ❤️🇵🇭

I'm in the Philippines & I see this every day, I don't record it, I don't really speak on it, but you can't deny what you see just like I can't deny homelessness in America. I'm use to seeing homeless adults in my hometown but what I'm not use to seeing is homeless children. It breaks my heart. Getting mad because someone pointed it out will not do anything. All homelessness needs to be pointed out all over this world.

Of course it happens all over the world (not everywhere is as comparable as this tho) but it is also true that it happens in your country. The government, international investors n rich people should come forward to uplift their living from this mess on humanitarian ground. They are our brothers/sisters. May Almighty bless them. I pray to Almighty for their safety, good health, prosperity n happiness....🤲

Filipinos are happy go lucky individuals Filipinos love foreigners so foreigners think the community with Filipinos is beautiful but when foreigners stay longer in the Philippines they will see that most Filipinos are carefree and see the dark side of Filipino culture. the gossips and the crab mentality are rampant. Filipinos love the fiesta culture celebration even if they don't have money because Filipinos are carefree people they don't think for tomoorow. Yes, unfortunately you're right my dear friend. Poverty is all over the world today, and the same goes for my own country. It can be even worse in some countries and that's our huge problem today... We spend billions of dollars on unnecessary things, wars, space exploration etc...while people are literally dying from hunger and poverty in front of us...

@@alexmur02 And there's another big problem in the US today the invasion of the migrants from around the world supposedly seeking asylum which I think is bull****. They wanted to come to America for free. We the tax payers are forced to pay for their housing, food, medical, etc. etc. Before helping others the government should help first its own people ( the homeless).

At least they have a place to lay their heads on, but homeless in the US have a place, but tents and cardboard boxes. Slum dwellers are all over Asian countries like India, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, etc.

@nattapovvvddd There was a foreign vlogger vlogging in the slum area in Manila. He was impressed by the friendliness of the slum dwellers and they speak English well even the kids. They are always smiling and offer to shake hands with him.

    They are lazy people
You can't force them to work
Everywhere around the world there are lazy people
It's not the fault of a country
It's the fault of the poor person
Just as there are drug addicts
It's there choice to be addicts😢

That is such a stupid statement! How can you blame someone who is born into poverty? If a government fails to implement policies to help people move out of poverty, then it is to blame!

There is poverty anywhere, it is a good opportunity to help. But give proper help. Giving alms just encourages people to beg more. My aunt gave alms to a beggar and as she walked away she had the urge too look back, she saw a man take the money from the beggar and walked away, the man was there all the while, a cousin who was a seminarian worked with kids begging in the streets, the kids would beg then gamble among themselves whoever won would buy ruby from the local pusher distribute the rugby with the rest of the group and keep any extra monies for himself. The story of a very old beggar from a different country, a person wanted to help, followed the old man to see where he lived, The old man lived in a big house with two vehicles. Just from begging. If you want to give, give in kind,, like food. Or give to charitable intitutions that know how to help the poor so they do not need to beg.

Please don't give money but food. Some of them buys Rugby or solvent to sniffed.

@PAGTATAGera You are talking about the homeless here in the US. They beg for money with their sign in cardboard saying "I am hungry and need food" and people just give even me especially if they have dogs with them. One time I had to go inside the grocery store to buy dog food (it's good I did not give him the money for dog food).
If you could watch the video of the homeless in Philadelphia you won't believe it if you see them for yourself. They look like zombies, because of the effect of the drugs. They do it in public by using syringe and others are smoking marijuana, men and women.

Also some beggars (not all) may be part of a syndicate that send them out to beg and if they don't bring money they get beaten. Especially children.

The Marcos's stole up to 30 billion dollars when they were in power. They havent recovered a cent of it, then they voted in Bongbong Marcos the son, who then ensured any investigation went away and continued the plunder. But they did vote these people in, its not a dictatorship so the Phillipinos have the people power to change things.
