His intentions were pure from the beginning, he has golden heart which beats only for hae soo, he was so in love with her that he was ready to sacrifice everything, I have never seen such passionate character. He was something else, he never give up on her but at the very end misunderstandings took place. Even his love for hae soo changed him, he became kind nd wise King but he gained Nothing. He was left all alone . He only had lonliness and sadness with him all his life it was hae soo who really gave him comfort but he lost him too. That's broke my heart!😭💔💔 The pain I'm feeling rn i can't imagine I would have felt any character from k-drama or anything else in the world. They deserved better.😫😭

Just finished this drama and I have to say it has become one of my favourite period dramas (on par with Empress Ki). Lee Joon Gi is such an amazing and talented actor and he brought the character Wang So to life. The passion, love, masculinity, despair and the intensity of each side of him was portrayed so well, I was entranced! Wang Soo and Hae So's love was just so tragic! I only wished Hae Soo could have tried a bit harder to stay with him till the end, but I do understand from her point of view why she had to leave. But Wang So was willing to die for her, such love that transcends time! My poor heart!

He doubted her love and without giving her the chance to explain, he finally decided to threw her out the palace. That time, Wang So is already the king. Meaning he's the law. So she just got tired and knew about her disease. Tbh, hae so wanted to conceive and get married to Wang So. But something happened that they couldn't however she spend all her remaining days loving him. I wished Wang So just read the letters angrily. In that way, they could have met atleast. It was tragic because both of them struggled a lot since episode 01. They were a lot that they sacrificed together. Hae so wanted to change wang so so bad that she tried to change and interferred everything. I feel like her death was the price she got.

Watched this drama for the first time in 2020 and trust me it's been 4years i haven't moved on. I cry everytime i watch any edits on this drama. I feel sad that the people of south korea did not gave enough appreciation this masterpeace deserved, if they did we would have got season 2. This drama surpasses every other dramas till date. The eternal love Hae soo and Wang so had for each other. Every single character has done their parts exceptionally beautiful. The only things i did not liked about this drama was how almost every character died starting from Hae soo's cousin to Hae soo herself. This is the only kdrama which has all the best songs, like you cannot even skip one because they are so good. The ost should be announced as the breakup anthem of the era. Scarlet Heart is always gonna be my favorite of all.

I started watching this drama and it sucked me in. I binge-watched it in three days. The best drama I've watched so far. Imagine yearning for your mother's love your whole life but you don't get it. Then you finally find someone who loves you only to lose that person and end up alone and lonely. Sad ending. At least they could have let him have some love in the end.

Just watched this drama and Oh my God. It was so perfect. So sad. So heartbreaking, yet so perfect. Love so fierce, love so painful. No single character had a happy ending. None. Not the founding emperor, not his sons, not his wife, not Hae su or even Chaeryong, none. And yet, it was such a beautiful story. And the OSTs, my God❤️. Beautiful storytelling 10/10
