Think about it this way: If you add up all of the copper in the world you get 100% of the copper. 100% is the same as 1 when converted to decimal form. 1-X is a way of saying "All of the copper minus the amount of Copper-63". Since there are only two isotopes of Copper, taking away all of one isotope would leave you with the amount of the second isotope. You can then assume if the % of Copper-63 is X, 1-X is the amount of Copper-65. I'm sorry I was not able to explain it better but I hope this can help.

Thank you! What if it only gives you one percentage to use for 2 isotopes?

If it only gave you 1 percent then you would subtract that percentage from 100 to find the second percent.

I just wonder at 5.34. you said they given 4 sig figs then the answer should be 4, but they are adding not dividing or multiple, so we should choose the lowest decimal places for the answer, am I correct?
