I’m typing this as I watch the video and just giving my thoughts on the rankings. The thing with tweedle is that honestly the only bad thing about it is how quiet it is. The vocal is beautiful and if you can balance the volumes between Reedling, Entbrat, and Tweedle it honestly sounds great. (This doesn’t apply to Ziggurab though, its’ track is pretty mediocre.) Incisaur also contributes a lot more to Cloud Island than even I realized at first, so I think it deserves to be higher up. Whaddle, I think you ranked way too low, it really makes the beginning segment for me. Entbrat could definitely move up a couple spots for me as I actually really like it. Pango is…Pango, not bad but it’s never anything to write home about so i’m fine with its’ placement. Thrumble is good the way you ranked it. Flum Ox is definitely good I agree. I am a big Krillby fan but honestly the Cloud Island track is honestly pretty meh. I’d rank it a little lower personally. Tiawa is nice, that’s about it, not much to say about it. I agree with what you say about Dandidoo, but I think i’d still rank it a bit lower. Tuskski for me, is fine. It’s just fine, i’d probably put it somewhere in the middle of the list. Oaktopus definitely deserves Top 10 for sure! I do like Boskus but i’d still rank it a tad lower in comparison to other monsters. Sneyser. Honestly, Sneyser is top 5 at least for me, I think people tend to undervalue how much it adds to the song on Cloud. Phangler is good but I wouldn’t say top 5. PomPom is definitely great I agree! Reedling is wonderful, just really loud, it is not bad though ofc. Shellbeat, oh Shellbeat. I’d personally put it a little lower just because I prefer other monsters but it still is the backbone of the percussion of cloud, or rather, it IS the percussion. Woolabee, while definitely deserving Top 3 is not top 1 for me.
I might as well create my own ranking lol 1. Sneyser (Honestly I just really love how MEATY its’ bass is on Cloud Island, especially compared to Space where its’ pretty not good. I love how it duets with Tuskski as well and its’ overall contribution to the song.) 2. Woolabee (I mean, what is there to say that hasn’t been said already? It’s Woolabee, you know why I ranked it so high.) 3. Oaktopus (Okay, this one might be the wildest ranking here, but hear me out, I LOVE Oaktopus on this island, and I cannot not hum its’ track whenever I think about this song.) 4. Tweedle (Ignoring the fact that its’ super hard to hear, the vocal is just so beautiful…I really love it. I just wish it wasn’t done so dirty in the volume department. Seems to be common in DoF.) 5. Whaddle (I also really adore Whaddle and the beginning portion would definitely not be the same without it.) 6. Reedling (Reedling has a great sound on Cloud, no doubt. It fits perfectly on the island, even though it overshadows Tweedle and Entbrat unless you volume balance.) 7. Shellbeat (I can’t feasibly rank it any lower just because of the fact it is literally the percussion on Cloud Island. It’s vital to the song and ranking it lower just doesn’t feel right.) 8. Dandidoo (It’s a good monster on this island, and I like the duet with Oaktopus. I like the vibes with those two monsters in general lol) 14. Incisaur (Incisaur is an underated monster in general honestly, and I think it adds a lot to Cloud Island!) 15. Tiawa (It’s a solid monster I would say, and it adds well in the background.) 16. Phangler (I like the use of dual microphones but I don’t really know how I feel about it in the actual song. It’s fine.) 17. Tuskski (It’s simply okay, not much to say.) 18. Krillby (Now Now, I love Krillby. But, it’s not really anything to write home about on Cloud Island. Its’ worst island, but not terrible. 19. Pango (It’s just Pango. Pango is not BAD, but it never really shines over other monsters. It’s a reliable monster to do its’ thing, but that’s just about all it is. Honestly interchangeable with Krillby.) 20. The reason it's not lore accurate is because cloud island has always had a heavy connection with faerie island (even before the new mirror magical islands came out). Since the connection between the two islands is so strong all the Quints went to the corresponding magical islands (Gnarls on Bone, Tuski on Faerie, etc.) Drummidary does not show up on Faerie island but instead shows up on light island. I hope that makes sense, I kinda suck at explaining things.
