Coffee grounds add nitrogen back to your soil. Most people put it in the garbage yet you could build some really nice soil in a short time with it and other kitchen scraps. To grow good plants you gotta first learn to grow good bugs in the soil. Food water, shelter.

$30 a month? I can compost at home for free.

You can do most paid services yourself for free or much less. Some people do not have the time or resources, so pay for it instead.

I was confused too. I’m pretty confident now that she’s saying it’s a paid monthly compost pickup service much like your garbage pickup.
Before I checked for others with the same question, I wrote this:

What do you think she means by it taking $30 per month to start composing? Where would that cost be coming from (specifically)? Thank you so much! Love the informative video! ❤

That was the original monthly service fee. Now, as business has expanded, we are able to offer $15-$22/month for residential composting.
As another commenter mentioned below- some folks do not have time/resources to compost at home. We love supporting anyone who puts in the effort to try and can always be available as a resource to help troubleshoot at home setups!

@@dirtrichllc.compostpickups8947 I would really appreciate if I could talk with you for advice on starting a small compost business in my community. I’ve been sending out seeds (so to speak), hoping something with germinate, but gotten nowhere. I just need some advice so I can start helping improve the small piece of environment that I can contribute to.
