I know this is an older video but I came across it today. My parents have a TAB 320S and they had the cushions re-done with good memory foam from a local shop. It made the cushions 1000% more comfortable.
I have had my 2018 tab 400 for 4 years and love that thing. Lived in it for 5 months one winter out west with my two dogs. I feel like I could be a full timer one day. I like your tab tour and good for you for full timing and sharing.
Nice video tour! I’ve been traveling and living full-time in my 2019 Tab 400 for the past 2-years. Love it! It’s really an ideal full time rig for one person (and pet) if you like to keep it simple. Thank you for sharing your experience and journey!
I'm not sure if you have thought of this but if I was in your position I'd put locks on all storage components that can be accessed from the outside. This is only a suggestion to be considered.
That's a good point! I don't think there's an easy way to add them, or else I would but I've just settled for storing non-essential/inexpensive items in them for now.
Is it Exspensive Driving all over?I live in a 2019 jayco but all the led lights burnt out it's garbage I spent 16,500 on junk. These look like a quality build. 😊
Really great. I'm 63 and thinking of living in a TAB for a while and traveling slowly. Thanks for sharing your tips and ideas. I am enjoying watching your videos.
Thank you for the upload, I've been playing around with the thoughts of doing the digital nomad in a travel trailer thing and this was a perfect video for ideas.
Graceful simplicity. There must be lots of windows, if there is enough to grow plants. Well done, May I suggest you store the fire extinguisher close to your bed. This way it is in immediate reach if there is a fire emergency while you are sleeping and it can be used as a weapon to render an intruder unconscious. I like the idea of the extinguisher being by the door because hopefully you would be outside the trailer trying to put any fire out. Maybe storing one in that outer storage area would be double assurance.
There's lots of windows but those are all fake plants 😅 I can't keep a plant alive to save my life, so I have to settle for ones I can't kill. Thanks for the fire extinguisher ideas!
Really enjoyed your overview of the camper. Have you made any modifications to the cushions/seats at the dining area? We've had our 2022 for about a year now and those seats are so not comfortable and I am forever sliding the cushions back into place. I've thought about adding Velcro to the underside to help keep them from sliding. Or, possibly, replacing them with something else altogether. The weird angle the seats are at also doesn't help. It looks like the 2023 may have straightened the seating out some, but, we are stuck with seats we have. The other item that could really use some work is the shower curtain. That is so flimsy. I'm shocked that we haven't ripped that yet. Seems like curtsins with some snaps would be easier to deal with. The rest of the camper...love it. Especially the star gazer window. Thanks for your video. I will be watching the rest as well.
I haven't made any mods to the cushions but I have thought about replacing them. I am curious if the 2023 seats are any better. The shower curtain doesn't really bother me but I generally just use the showers at the campgrounds/RV parks where I'm staying.
This has always been my favorite Camper ever!! I love seeing it inside, and never get tired of it! I should have invested in one when I sold my Parent's home!😒
Thanks! I have a 320 and while I love it (solo traveler), it gets a little cramped. I've been considering the 400 and appreciate your video and your blog about your 400.
Seems like a cozy size for one + a cute cotton ball of a pup. Storage is always a challenge in trailers but it looks like you've made good use of what space you have. Have you been able to keep it warm enough in the winter and cool enough in summer? Always wondered about winterizing a trailer that you are living in during the cold? Most of the time you hear how to winterize when not using it. Hoping for safe and happy travels for you and your cotton ball companion. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks! So far it has done well in hot and cold weather. I generally try to stay out of freezing temperatures but if I do need to winterize, I have compressor so I can just blow out the lines.
Que bacana!! Sem dúvida é um estilo de vida muito bom, hora esta no campo, hora esta na montanha e nos momentos especiais na praia!! Maravilha!! Sou de Joinville SC Brasil. Abraços!!❤
Enjoyed the tour of your Tab 400. Thanks for letting us know about the refrigerator choices. I’m checking out RVs to live in and I’d rather have a closet because I’d like to hang some of my clothes then cram them into cubbies. Great video
Thanks! The closet is really nice. Plus, on newer 400s, I think the larger fridges are only two-way now so if you don't need a larger fridge, it makes sense to have the closet space instead.
@@robertdragoff6909 I just watched a review on the 2023 and I think you are correct. nuCamp is providing a larger AC/DC fridge plus a lithium battery option. Seems like there is adequate storage for clothes though. We have the 2019 t@b 400 BDL and it's two of us plus two dogs and we've taken long trips (3xmonths) that has taken us through different seasons. At first this was challenging but it forced us to really think about what we packed. What we did allow ourselves is a small duffel bag each if we know we're going from hot to cold climates. These are water proof and can hold 2-3 changes of clothes and my wife has been able to stuff two pairs of shoes as well. Doing laundry every 5-6 days seems to work. One thing to think about with regards to the fridge; if you plan long distance travel you might consider a second portable fridge that is AC/DC and would run off your vehicle while driving. We have a 50qt ARB that sits in the back seat area of our TV. The ARB plus the fridge in the t@b, we can carry almost two weeks of food. Going through Canada to Alaska we found this was perfect for us.
Thank you for the tour. I'm currently looking at and comparing the nucamp rv 320/400 and also the truck camper. Its helpful to see how you organize and store your belongings being full-time on the road. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks! Glad I could be helpful! My parents own a 320 and they love it - if I was just a weekender, I probably would have gotten that or a T@G instead.
I ordered my T@B in July 2020 and got it in October 2020 for about $35,000. Since then, though, I know they've been delayed/slower to produce because of shortages.
Thanks for getting back to me. I'm 61 and can't believe just how much the whole industry has blown up. It seems like every other driveway as a camper in it.
That's hardly :tiny" as its floor space is almost 4 feet longer than the next size down in their lineup! Look at pictures on the website next to a full size pickup. This is no "tiny trailer".
Compared to the rest of the trailers in the nuCamp lineup, the 400 is certainly a big trailer. Compared to many of the other trailers that I see in campgrounds, though? I would consider it a tiny trailer. It's all relative, I guess.
I mean considering the fact that I've gotten a kayak and an ice maker since I made this video, you're probably not wrong but I haven't run out storage space yet so 🤷🏻♀️
That's a surprisingly roomy bathroom. For one person, I think it's offers a good tradeoff on space vs. usability vs. maintenance.
Yeah, it's honestly not that bad for a small camper. There's plenty of room for me to stand, move about, get ready, etc.

But you said in the video that now they only have the big fridge and not the smaller one, so I guess that means no closet

Like how you don't have a thousand personal mods that become distractions, keep it neat, feels bigger.
Thanks!
Great video. What city was this filmed in?
Disregard, I see its Bisbee. I thought it looked familiar.
Do you mind sharing the price of your rig and how long it took from the time you ordered it to when you received it?

@@robertdragoff6909 you think all industry has blown up? Huh.....
