Huh I knew I remembered General Draven from somewhere, which is surprising considering Rogue one wasn’t exactly the most memorable Star Wars movie(Apart from the Vader hallway scene).
Well tactically speaking a ship has more value than one guy in a fighter that someone else may or may not have put a tracker on offscreen to later be discovered. And then there's the question of being better prepared for one instance than the other, or just how much focus it requires to achieve either task, and how much he could focus in those moments.
I don't think he's ever done that before. Really the only jedi/sith that's ever just gone around chucking ships everywhere was Starkiller. Everyone else has either done it once and then never again, or never at all.

I feel like Vader could have halted the tie fighter from leaving the docking bay but didn’t because he enjoyed the thrill of chasing his kids across the galaxy so to speak lol, and watching them fall and get back up something he took for granted. Either that or he just didn’t have the force strength to stop a moving object.

Hold up. Tie fighters don't have hyper drives. Atleast not pre-first order. How did Lea get away exactly? Also seeing that it is an imperial vessel, you would think that it could be tracked too. What gets me is when they fly off that Vader does nothing but they they're strong enough to reach out with the force and stop them. Even turn off their systems render their ship useless
